Oh, so you don't think what they did was right then. Then why didn't you just say so?
Again, is it dishonesty which led you to a conclusion I've directly refuted multiple times? Or do you just not possess the intellectual capability to understand a simple sentence? I'll say it again...try reading it slower, maybe you'll get it this time.
"No, my argument is that we don't know the real story. So it would be unwise to pass judgment on anyone."
Here, I'll post it again, because you seem to be having so much trouble understanding. Read it slowly.
"No, my argument is that we don't know the real story. So it would be unwise to pass judgment on anyone."
Get it now?
I missed the lies you mentioned.
You seem to be missing a lot of things. I just can't tell if it's due to your levels of honesty, integrity or intelligence.
Except you would have to justify the removal of the accommodation under the legal protections afforded to students with disabilities.
I would assume assaulting another student would be a good start. Throw in a few alternative accommodations, and I bet you can get there pretty quick.
So...the truth matters. Why are so many people allergic to the truth? Why are you allergic to the truth?
Yes, this is a bunch of stupid people who don't care what the truth is, they just want to blindly bash the school, regardless of the actual facts of the case. Again, maybe the school was completely in the wrong. We don't know. But that's the point...we don't know. For you to call them "sick bastards" based on evidence you don't have is stupid. Though not surprising.
Oh stop it. Let's not act like you have any high ground on this subject.
I have plenty of high ground, but I'm not posting from high ground. I'm posting from the common sense standpoint of "how about we take the time to know what happened BEFORE we pass judgment". The fact you think having information before making a decision means someone is posting from the high ground says quite a bit about you.
Some of us already know your attitude toward students with disabilities.
Yes, some of you do. For those who don't, I'll clarify.
Those with special needs should be provided everything they need for the best education possible. However, we should not deprive the rest of our children of the best education possible because we set unrealistic goals for those with special needs. Special needs students should be put in tracts (all students should, actually, but that's a conversation for another time) and be allowed to pursue an education which fits best for them.
I'm sorry if you have a problem with the idea of giving special needs students the best education for them and not setting goals which just sets them up to fail.
You practically act like Section 504 and IDEA should be abolished.
I act like the educational system needs to quit being stupid and depriving our best students of valuable time and resources, all because we choose to set unrealistic goals and spend exorbitant amounts of money on students who will never reach those goals.
Again, if you have a problem with common sense, that says quite a bit about you.
No, this is another example of improperly disciplining a child.
I assume you have proof then, and not just the word of the parent? No, of course you don't, because people like you don't care about facts.
More evidence that there are people working in our school system that have absolutely no business doing so.
More evidence that people will say stupid things, regardless of how ignorant it makes them sound.
Taking the kid's cane in unjustified, no matter what he did.
If the child is hitting another student, and has a history of doing so, it's not unjustified to take the weapon away. There are many ways to help a child with vision issues through school. I know this firsthand.
You 'suspect'? You 'doubt'? Well, that's enough for me.
Do you have any evidence to the contrary? Do you really think a school is made up of evil people who want a little child stumbling through the halls just so they can laugh at them?
C'mon, don't say stupid things. Be better than a lot of these other posters. A school isn't going to go out of their way to humiliate a child. How utterly stupid is it to assume the same school which purchases a cane for the student would be so evil as to try and humiliate the child by making him go around the building all day with nothing and no one to guide him?
People are saying a lot of stupid things in this thread, mostly because they don't have the first damn clue as to what they are talking about. You should try to be better than that.
