People need a 10 second delay from the brain to the mouth.
You just don't in any way ridicule kids. Adults are open season.
I wonder if John McCain wished he would have had a 10 second delay on his mouth when he made the joke about how ugly Chelsea Chilton was?
But that was a factual statement. Chelsea was ugly. She could never be a Fox News babe.
She was 13 years old, for chrissakes. She definitely looks pretty good now. What on earth is wrong with you?
What this really means is, "I'm sorry for being an asshole and offending every single person on earth who has adopted a child from a race or ethnicity other than their own. I'm also sorry because I have been threatened with termination should I not be sorry. I am not sorry, however, for insulting Romney, because he probably deserves it since I disagree with his politics, but I'm not going to say that publicly."
I saw the apology, as a parent of 2 adopted kids that are of a different race than my wife and I are, it seems that her apology was genuine to me. Don't get me wrong, I think their jokes the week before were in very bad taste and offensive, but she does seem genuinely sorry for it.
Are you a mind reader?I would agree if it were off the cuff, but that segment was planned. It's not like television is impromptu and just casually leads from one topic to another, especially on a cable tv news station.

Serious answer: I have no ****ing idea, but I am sure you do. She wanted to talk about her being born into a large white Mormon family. She made a mistake, so now the whole ****ing right wing is after her. The right just loves to hate especially if the object is Africa American.Think about it Pete.... That segment was designed for laughs, something that is not in dispute.
Here's a serious question for you... Now since she intended it to be comical, what do you believe she envisioned would be humorous about that picture?

Obviously your accustomed to higher standard in looks. Please post a pic of your hot wife to confirm this or otherwise we can assume the most likely.
I was going to do that on the Hot Legs thread down below in that unspeakable place, but it would have revealed my true identity.
But it's true, I've always had high standards when it came to women since high school.

I don't think she should be fired over this, nor did I think that Meghan Kelly should have been fired for the Jesus is white thing. At least Melissa is making a legitimate apology unlike Kelly who decided to play the victim card instead.
Who the **** knows, Grim? Since she grew up in a large white Mormon family it could have been a positive, but still funny anecdote that happened while she was growing up. In my opinion, Melissa Harris Perry did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG!!!! This is a case where the right is making a mountain out of a molehill. Here is what that sweet lovable liberal black woman said on her show this morning:Look Pete, I accepted her apology but you need to use a little common sense here and realize she is the one who chose that picture for a "comical segment"... I'm not speculating on what she thought would be funny about that picture, but since you are defending the woman, that's something you need to be asking yourself.
Other than what they actually laughed at, I'm drawing a blank here... What else could she have possibly believed funny and comical about that picture?

Oh, stop. She admitted she was wrong. Why are you so damn emotional and defensive about this? Jeez.
