The article you link to doesn't support any of your claims. It only says that income inequality is greater in "liberal" cities.

And that's because those cities tend to have a lot of rich people

I wish I could see this data and see if there's any similarities between population density and quality of life for blacks in each of these cities. Population density would definitely be a determining factor for these characteristics as well.

Living in a big city, you are more likely to be murdered than in a small one. Poorer neighborhoods are also clustered in the cities, thus they're more likely to live in a poor area - of course people that live in poor areas tend to have lower income, which is why it's a poor area. People don't choose to live in bad neighborhoods, they live where they can afford to live.

Interestingly, the article blames it all on the "liberals" running the city, but not the "conservatives" running the suburbs. How many poor areas are in suburbs? How many of these suburbs offer low cost housing? People live in the poor areas because they can afford to, and these areas are concentrated in cities because they don't build affordable housing in suburbs. Unemployed people are more likely to have less income (surprise!), so they move to areas they can afford. Murder is more common because of the drugs that follow poverty, and because of higher population densities.

Tell you what, lets move all the minorities and unemployed people out to the country, and see what that does to the relative income there.

I believe it merely has to do with a lack of Faith in executing a federal Doctrine and State laws regarding employment at will, by politicians claiming they have morals in public venues.

Not sure if there is a good link or not. Major urban cities all have there areas. Heck the small town I live in has those areas. It is a matter of re-education. I would rather see inner city schools which are some of the worst sent to private or charter schools.

The state could spend about the same or less per student the quality of education improves.

There are also less violence and gang influence in that as well. If these gangs spent more time rebuilding and growing and less time killing each other and people these places would be a different story

BTW, the median income of black people in NYC is higher than the national average.

The point is that it's obvious that not everybody is doing so poorly. In order to have income inequality, there has to be some rich people. The article points out the income inequality relative to the richer folks living in these cities.

The other issue is that government policies that really affect income are not made at a municipal level. Most tax and wage laws are made at the state and federal levels.
