Thank god.

Kirsten Gillibrand has dropped out of the 2020 presidential race

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., dropped out of the 2020 presidential race Wednesday, ending a campaign weighed down by fundraising problems and a lack of public support.

Gillibrand’s decision to drop out of the race comes after she failed to qualify for the third Democratic debate on Sept. 12 in Houston.

Gillibrand had positioned herself as a progressive and the strongest advocate for women’s issues among the Democratic field, which at its peak included two dozen presidential candidates.

So, Insle, Moulton, Hickenlopper, and now Gillibrand are all gone. Slowly, but surely, the field is narrowing.

I anticipate Williamson, Ryan, Bennet, and de Blasio are not far behind. Bullock and Delaney are egomaniacs, who will stay in this for months longer, despite polling at 0%.

Frankly, anybody who didn't qualify for the September debates is simply on an ego trip by keeping their campaign going.

They are certainly not considering the party by staying in this long. Just tossing a Molotov cocktail into the already fractured Democratic Party.

Just go already.

Thank god.

This hit the breaking news while I was getting my pedicure. Let me tell you - that woman had to have spent millions on her ads here in NH. Not kidding. The last month or so they were running constantly - at the same pace as Steyer's and Gabbard's.

Yes, I think the rest of your dropout list is correct. I'm not happy about some of them dropping out. I actually like Ryan and Delaney - and Bullock.

Would like to drink a beer with Al Franken to celebrate

Don't go away mad, just go away.

If the public gives you no meaningful support this late in the game, swallow your pride and get out.

The moderates keep talking about how nothing but beating Trump matters, but they are only helping him by staying in.

Honestly though, only Harris helped Trump. The rest discussed their differing potions. Harris, instead of highlighting the differences between her and uncle Joe, went after him.

Down goes another centrist.

Also, Tom Steyer was unsuccessful in his bid to buy a podium in this debate.

Uncle Joe looked pretty rough that night all on his own.

What she said wasn't going "after him", it was simply stating a truth, just as Gabbard did when she pointed out Harris's hypocrisy on marijuana.

Steyer joined this thing too late. He spent millions advertising for the impeachment. He should have tossed his hat into the ring long ago.

He's advertising here in NH. A lot. But so did Gillibrand, and so does Gabbard (both ran good ads too, IMO) and look what it got them.

No ads yet from anyone else, but I heard a Biden ad is about to start playing a lot.

All these complaining billionaires could do so much good if they just focus on establishing huge support for thin races and even races thought out of reach in the Senate and making gains in the House. I saw a joke about how all billionaires have the same dreams,

1. Building a colony on the moon
2. Buying the presidency

There are so many people that have no business being in this race that it's not even funny.

The top 12-14 candidates were the only ones that deserve to be running, the others have been largely on ego trips.

Be a candidate. Collect money for a while. Them booooom bye bye baby.

Why the hell was she ever in it?

Same with DeBlasio.

Lot's of people wasting our time.

A dry run for 2028..... I lose one of the two candidates that I have a personal connection to. I guess that job in the White House is just a little further away.

Poor naive Kirsten just didn't get it. She actually BELIEVED the far left on #metoo. She thought it was really about sexual abuse. She didn't understand it was just a political battering ram to be used against conservatives only. "Kirsten, how could you be so stupid as to use #metoo against Al Franken"? Poor dumb thing just paid the price.

I think most of them ran for the same reason 16 Republicans ran in 2016. Because they actually want to be President.

Sorry, I disagree with the concept that people shouldn't run. There were 16 GOP candidates in NH every day until our primary in 2016, when many dropped out - and many continued to drop out. They didn't pick their candidate until Cruz dropped out, which wasn't long before the convention. It didn't hurt old lard butt Trump that so many were in it in 2015 and into 2016, and they used to have to host debates on separate nights.

She's just a political ass...Let's get down to the bare basics.
Going after Bill Clinton after Hillary helped her win the senate, was what really sunk her ship.
