I'm not surprised to learn this, especially after what took place at FaceBook.

Here Are 10 More Examples of Google Search Results Favorable to Hillary
Tech giant accused of whitewashing autocomplete results

“Crime” and “indictment” are not the only terms Google is keeping hidden from searches of Hillary Clinton, a Washington Free Beacon analysis finds.

Common search terms associated with Clinton appear to have been scrubbed from Google as the tech giant has been accused of manipulating its autocomplete results to favor the Democratic presidential candidate.

Matt Lieberman of SourceFed released a video showing examples of Google skewing its autocomplete results for Clinton, while other search engines simply display the most searched terms.

Here's the video that accompanies the story. It is very informative.

Turns out this is not what you think of course, as you would have known if you had done a 10 second fact check instead of just going to your nicely biased sources. Here, let me help you: Google Manipulates Searches for Hillary Clinton? : snopes.com

Here is what google says:

Google Autocomplete does not favor any candidate or cause. Claims to the contrary simply misunderstand how Autocomplete works. Our Autocomplete algorithm will not show a predicted query that is offensive or disparaging when displayed in conjunction with a person’s name. More generally, our autocomplete predictions are produced based on a number of factors including the popularity of search terms.

So, I wonder if there are other examples that would show this in action...

Which is manipulation, not in favor of anyone specific, but still manipulation.

I am not in-favor of such manipulation.
Is anyone else?

Re: It appears that Google is manipulating searches to protect Hillary

How flat out stupid and paranoid. I just went to Google, typed in "Hillary Clinton indic...." and up came all sorts of links relevant to 'indictment', indictment for emails, etc....

It's autocomplete. Just complete it yourself if you think it's manipulation.
Google isn't a public service, by the way. Nor is it a monopoly, if you don't like their service.

QUIET, you!

You'll ruin the manufactured outrage and spoil the false narrative completely!

One term "cri" was used for all of them...

What you need to explain, is how come the auto-complete functions on search engines like Bing and Yahoo, reflect what most people are actually searching for like they are supposed to do, but Google's auto-complete does not?

The person who investigated this and put together the video, used Google Analytics to check those terms omitted from Google's auto-complete function, and found that those search terms were in fact submitted far more than the ones they offered.

If you have an answer for those questions, then by all means let's hear them.

I have a suggestion for you.

The issue isn't about search results, it's about manipulating the auto-complete function to omit the most popular searches, that just happen to be negative toward Hillary Clinton.

Let's just say that autocomplete was pretty accurate.

I'm sure you do, and I'll bet it won't include answering any of the issues I brought up in my post.

Except, of course, that it's not, since the addition of a mere two more letters gives the results desired.

You might find something of more substance to to wring your hands and whine about.

How come when you enter "ind" the auto-complete functions on search engines like Bing and Yahoo, reflect what most people are actually searching for like they are supposed to do, but Google's auto-complete does not?

Who knows and who cares? The simple addtion of those two letters fixes this 'problem'.

It's like you're looking for something to be outraged by.

You seem to be under the false impression that autocomplete is based just on popularity. It is not, has not been, nor is there any claim it is. It is not manipulation, it is not bias, it is nothing other than what it is. It does not, for google(which since you seem confused by this, not the same thing as yahoo nor Bing), return negative possibilities for a persons name. It does not return porn.

Because google hates you. Maybe you should try complaining to your congresscritter.

Thank you... That is something that after investigating myself, by inputting various names alone, discovered was true.

Good job.

Are you related to Rocket?

Or do you just subscribe to the same childish tactics that his political ideology dictates?
