Israel, small as it is, has been humanitarily tolerating an inordinate amount of ILLEGAL Immigration for 5 years now.
In part because it's large, but Muslim neighbor is a Racist Arab country.
Yes, Egypt, an (ostensibly 'brown') multiracial Muslim country is typically anti-black bigoted.
Which is why, of course, there are Sudanese refugees to begin with.

The whole incident was captured on Video, which Channel 10 chose not to broadcast.

In this context, it should be obvious that a recent agreement between Israel and Egypt under which Israel would return some Sudanese refugees to Egypt needs to be reexamined. Israel must under no circumstances Send refugees to their death.

At the same time, it is unacceptable that Egypt, a country that receives billions of dollars in assistance from the US and tries to portray itself as moderate and democratic, cannot act as a place of asylum for Muslim refugees fleeing a neighboring land. It is Unthinkable that Egypt will be treated like a civilized nation, including playing a pivotal regional diplomatic role, while it is treating refugees with complete barbarity.

A surprisingly frank article in the current Al-Ahram Weekly (Egypt) explains:
"Excessively harsh socioeconomic conditions and Racist attitudes in Egypt seem to be the main reason why Sudanese refugees want to relocate to Israel. Of the Sudanese refugees now resident in Israel, 71% report verbal and physical Abuse as the main reason for their fleeing Egypt. ...."

Now the problem has reached near epic proportion for a very small country.
Some wonder why 'Israel criticism', is called antisemitism. It's because of absurd double standards that are witting or unwitting. The latter even worse and all too PC-acceptable. Just look at the cheap shots String Starts that characterize this section.

I assume no one cares that these refugees are legitimate refugees in Egypt but not in Israel, but Egypt hunts them down and often shoots them in rampant violation of all different sorts of rules and conventions?

My position is pretty simple, really - this sort of behaviour is unacceptable, and there is nothing wrong with deporting illegal migrants whose valid refugee claims are with another country (i.e., Egypt).

They are in Israel because Egypt is absolutely horrible with respect to its obligations and in its treatment of these folks.

Any pressure people want to bring to bear should be there.

But I do however think its dangerous when groups of people begin to blame minorities for a countries internal problems and I think its even more dangerous when a politician claims that immigrant groups and other minorities are a threat to a countries "dream" or heritage. Its no different to me than right Europeans blaming unrest on Muslims immigrants, in the US its mexicans etc.

Again, how is what you quoted is blaming the immigrants in the sickness of the Israeli society? He was right about what he said, if this continues and Israel will absorb 10,000 immigrants from Africa each year she will lose here Jewish identity, what is he blaming the Africans here exactly? Why is this absurd? This border became the "hottest" border in terms of terror alerts, in addition its the border with most criminal activity, mostly drugs smuggling (in the past also human trafficking of prostitutes) and the source of illegal immigrants.

I do not support a contrived conclusion to effectuate what would be tantamount to a possible death sentence , brutalization or torture, en masse. There should be safeguards for the people that are already in Israel. However, should Israel want to stop others from coming in they have every right as far as I am concerned.

Sorry to tell you but there are not enough of us in the world (though there are more than there should be) who are stupid enough to accept this bull**** as fact. Many of us see the plain truth and will not turn a blind eye to or try to rationalize terrorist acts as "Israel just had it coming".
