Is this really the best way to protest gun control?

FWIW, that would cover many of the posters to these forums. Many post with no intention of honest debate and discussion. They rely on hyperbole rather than substance and insist that any view counter to their own is some form of meme while ignoring those memes of their own. It's a power play.

almost all of the pro gun rights posters are shooters and don't want our rights raped. (one guy who claims to be pro gun hates guns)

Most of the anti gun posters are liars. They claim public safety is what motivates their anti gun posts-in reality, they dont care about crime or castigate criminals-rather they hate the people they see as the most common gun owners-white conservative Christian males

We have more non shooter rights advocates on our side than they have antis. That's the awesome thing, we have non participant support and law on our side, all they can do is puff their chests out, yell, and cheat.

You're confusing the issue, what they are doing isn't done to piss you off that's not their goal, whereas I think that people who flaunt themselves in front of other's who they knew will have an angry reaction and for no other purpose other than to make the onlookers angry are the real assholes. That would be both the gay couple making out in front of the counter of a Chik-Fil-A especially since most people there would be happy to get a chicken sandwich and leave, and those who show up some a gun control rally to troll around like those guys in the OP.

many gun haters project their own fears and in some cases predicted incompetence with weapons on others. their desire for gun bans is to prevent people JUST LIKE THEM from being armed

People come up with all kinds of reasons why they don't have to civil, yours is just as bad as the rest of them. And your confusing "reality" and "my opinion" again.
 
I see no problem the Open Carry Group Up here does this all the time at Anti-Gun Rallies. These are just guys practicing there 2nd Amendment rights. They didn't stop the protest.

Oh? Are you saying that someone who is peacefully demonstrating is a troll...or is it because they are peacefully demonstrating while armed that makes them a troll? Also, why should they expect peaceful anti-gun protesters to display an angry reaction? Are you implying that anti-gun protesters are not able to contain their emotions?

I don't know, dude, but you are painting the pro-gun people in a better light than the anti-gun people. Is that your intent?

I'm saying if you do something with no other reason than to piss people off than you're an asshole. Its not complicated and if it weren't for the political context no one would have an issue agreeing with me. You're really stretching for an argument here by the way, no I'm not saying anti gun protesters can't control their emotions that would be a huge generalization which would serve no purpose. You can still be both angry and in control of yourself the two are not mutually exclusive.

I think calling people scum is pretty uncivil, you could use a little common respect for other people's opinions and perspectives. Hell I've told you my views on the matter I'm not trying to ban or take away anyone's weapon, but I'm not about to call those who do scum and treat them like a dick because I think my opinion makes me better than them for whatever reason.

I have no respect for people who want to limit my rights because

1) they want to feel like they have done something about violent criminals

2) they wet themselves over guns and want to take my rights away in an effort to keep their panties dry

3) they don't like the politics of individualism that supports gun rights and they want to harass me

respectful "opinions" are one thing but this is about a realistic "threat" on our foundations expecting civility is stupid.
 
The best way to protest gun control is to simply state it's your property and you will defend your property.
