Iowa Poll: Kamala Harris leapfrogs Donald Trump to take lead near Election Day

Agree. But.... hey, there's been news stories about the single electoral vote from the Omaha area of Nebraska and how it could tip the scales. So.....
Dems winning the 1 electoral vote in Omaha is expected.

Harris leading Traitor Trump in Iowa is unexpected.

The majority of Iowans are unhappy with the state’s 6 week abortion ban.

Iowa Poll: Most Iowans oppose state's 6-week abortion ban law now in effect

“A majority of Iowans oppose the state’s new “fetal heartbeat” law, which bans most abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy, according to a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll.

The poll found that 59% of Iowans — including 69% of women — disapprove of the new restrictions. It found 37% of Iowans favor the new law, and 5% are not sure.”

Republicans have been trying to downplay the significance of Dobbs, and Traitor Trump’s ownership of the SCOTUS ruling.

It doesn’t appear to have worked, and could be a positive sign for Harris across the country.

I did. Ann Selzer has been wrong in the past. She doesn't have 50 years of consistently accurate predictions. And, she has thrown away her reputation this time around, in an attempt to herd the election. As I suggested earlier, if your house pet had accurately predicted elections for decades (and it was documented) I would pay attention. Selzer's record was only moderately impressive, and she has thrown that away.
Entirely bias based comments noted.

Yep I wouldn’t be shocked if this is what’s driving Kamala’s popularity.

Admittedly anecdotally, I live in a small, traditionally red county just outside of Cedar Rapids. Our little town was filled with Trump signs and those moronic Lets Go Brandon Flags from the rusted out late 90s, no muffler pickups. I’ve seen two Trump signs in town this year, and a dozen or Kamala signs. Like I said, I acknowledge it’s anecdotal data, but it jives with the Fellating Felon not doing as well this year.

If the Dems can nominate a decent candidate in 2026, I would suspect Reynolds is vulnerable as well.

Ultimately, I’m not counting on Iowa going blue, but even a 5-6 point shift toward the Dems. means at least 2 if not 3 D Iowa Representatives elected, and likely more strength than the polls are showing in the other swing states.

You state that so definitively. Interesting. I guess you've got a crystal ball. Damn, I wish I had one.

It's not surprising that she now leads in Iowa. She has such great ideas for the economy, the border, and her mastery of foreign policy is just too impressive to ignore. She may be the greatest orator in the history of presidential politics.

How did 2020 turn out?

Polls in Wisconsin were very inaccurate to the tune of predicting that Trump would lose by 6-8%. Trump ended up losing by only 0.3 percent.

Harris supporters better hope that every single pollster that's showing Wisconsin as a very close race has managed to somehow correct all their inaccuracies simultaneously and that the same underestimate of Trump's support isn't being replicated in 2024.

The same, but to a lesser degree, holds true for all the swing states for polling in 2020 vs. 2024.

The problem is that abortion is not a federal issue. Electing Harris wont help change the law in Iowa. If they want to change the law they have to change state legislators and the governor. Im guessing women are smart enough to understand that

Electing Harris would prevent a nationwide abortion ban. I'm guessing the women in Iowa are smart enough to understand that.

Women are smart enough to recognize that Traitor Trump is responsible for Dobbs, and that there’s every reason to believe that he would sign a nationwide abortion bill into law if ever given the opportunity.

Your dont get to project your toxic rage hate onto women.

Supporters of the CONVICTED FELON and sex offender had better hope that the polls are way off because the last poll I saw (Marist ending 11/1) have Harris ahead in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin (and Olof those polls hold up the race is over) and tied in Georgia. They have Harris behind by 1 in Arizona and two in NC. And now she’s ahead in Iowa!
Let’s all hope the polls are spot on, eh?

You ask for Lincs, I give you a Linc. Listen to a Black New Yorker explain why he ain't voting for Kamala. Yeah, I know, he's not from Iowa, but still applicable.

Oh hell no, it’s not still applicable. A New Yorker isn’t anything close to an Iowan. Good grief…

Your dont get to project your toxic rage hate onto women.
Women are hating the convicted felon without any encouragement.
Can you blame them?
The convicted sex offender/rapist:

*bragged about grabbing a woman’s genitalia without consequences because he’s famous
*raped Ms Carroll
*is responsible for ending a woman’s right to choose nationwide

Normal women hate him.

Oh, oh, wait, this time around. Forget about the past, but this time around… “I don’t agree with her poll results, so this time around she’s got to be way off. Because of reasons.”

Brilliant deduction.

Pretty sure she doesn’t care what you think. 🤷‍♀️

No one-line moronic maga-type 💩 from me.
DEMs have libs, progs, and mods/cons while GOPS have magas and the ‘Sound of Silence’.
Remember the ‘Cornhusker Kickback’? 😂
They say that the Nebraska Senate election is close.

GOPs should enjoy this bit of honesty about our Midwest, especially NE-02, the blue dot.
The ‘blue dot’ continues to have this DEM ‘sore loser’ problem in NE-02 to try to flip the House.
She’s the wife of former DEM Rep. Ashford who passed away in 2022.

Kara Eastman defeated former Rep. Ashford in the 2018 Dem primary then lost to current GOP Bacon.
Eastman beat Ashford’s wife in the 2020 primary and lost again.

Current Dem challenger Vargas lost in 2022 while Biden won this CD, though it’s more gerrymandered now.
It’s Vargas 🆚 Bacon again in 2024, and DEM Ashford is supporting GOP Bacon again.

Maybe a bit about Heath Mello, illustrating the prog/lib 🆚 mod/con Dem Omaha clientele.
His 2017 Mayoral loss to the current Mayor was due to lefties rebelling over his pro-life stance.

Believe me when I tell you it gets better, such as the DEM mess in Lincoln, NE.

If (big IF) this poll is correct and Harris wins in Iowa, the Republicans in the Iowa State Legislature will be scrambling to hide their complicity in passing the 6 week abortion ban. IF Harris wins Iowa, it definitely will help change the abortion law there. The majority of voters vote essentially a straight ticket. (I can't say that for Iowa, specifically.)

I agree with the President. Remember what he said about supporters of the felon?
