Okay, I'm going to do this kind of weird, per my usual style. I have these notes from research I started during the middle of my night here, as I was having trouble getting back to sleep. After I copy the notes I'll explain what I think I remember about this thread.
Rep. Kat Cammack, R-Fla.
The CIA is an independent agency that reports to the Director of National Intelligence. The FBI is part of the Department of Justice.

The Law and Policy Office develops and implements Department of Justice policies with regard to intelligence, counterterrorism, and other national security matters. The Office also assists the Assistant Attorney General in fulfilling the function as the Department of Justice's primary liaison to the Director of National Intelligence, and provides legal assistance and advice on matters of national security law.

So I remember asking about that media company and which way it leans politically and after looking at the article that started this thread I realized it is quite right leaning. But no real big deal. Just wanted to know.
I was also wondering about the relationship between the CIA and the DOJ, so I used the Google search engine and you see they had a "Featured Snippet" which I didn't click on as I saw that Director of National Intel as what I guess is the boss for the CIA, BUT when I went to a government page I saw that liaison bit and that struck me as meaning there actually is some influence from the DOJ upon what the CIA does.
Okay, that note about Representative Cammack might be that is the person who implied the connection between the DOJ and the CIA and I presume that might be true, due to that liaison bit on that one government site.
And one of y'all did a post asking about that DOJ and CIA connection, so that was why I was checking that.
Okay, if you are confused, I can understand. I'm not doing a great job at connecting dots here, as I did this bit of research in the very early hours of my morning, maybe 22 hours ago and am not remembering all that didn't go on that note page I quoted above.
So to make it clear just how stupid I am, I do not right now remember why that second government link is in my notes; that CIA site/page.
But one thing I know from my own government work is that when you see the government using that vocabulary "primary liaison" it means there is a serious connection of some sort.
But it's coming up on midnight here and I should really try and get some sleep, so I may have to get back to this later --- many hours later. But I think the answer about the relationship between the CIA and the DOJ is answered up there. And the political leaning of that media company is answered.
Oh yes, and I am remembering that Daily Mail page was a seriously cluttered up page and not so kind to readers and I really don't think I much like the idea of visiting their website again.
One more thing; very sorry to be doing such a confusing post. I usually try and do better work, but don't want to forget at least the beginning of this research. And I did want an answer about that media company, even if it isn't so important.
