While I think the Fed overreacted in 1980 by tightening too much, the Fed's performance is much better than before there was a Fed and especially better since they honed monetary policy. In the 2008 financial crash the Fed gets high grades for doing what they should have done. The below chart goes back 100 years but in the 1800s there were wild boom and bust cycles, as the chart at the bottom shows. In the last 70 years, the Fed has generally managed inflation well. The Fed has a history of reacting too late.
No it’s not. There are many reasons for inflation. Claiming that anyone that does not agree with your narrative is giving Biden a “free pass” is missing the facts that inflation comes from many sources.I read that INFLATION has increased by 7% in Dec(last month)
Is that enough?
With regard to the 2019 Global Slowdown, there may be a rising awareness of the supreme arrogance and corruption on display at the Fed and it Primary Dealers on Wall Street?
That’s infrastructureWe should be discovering solutions to our supply-side problems. Upgrading infrastructure could be done with the latest technologies and on a modular, mass production basis.
It is up to Government to socialize our problems through better infrastructure that can help with supply-side and scale economies. That’s infrastructure
Yet biden is still more popular than trump was at the same point lol.Biden's approval rating continues to fall, and is below 50% and is within the margin of error of Trump's at the same point in their presdency; It was accurate for the poster to say anyone who supports Biden is a shrinking minority.
Within the margin of error, so one cannot statistically say that. (I realize that this is very high level math that most people won't understand, but it is mathematically true.)Yet biden is still more popular than trump was at the same point lol.
Biden has a higher rating than trump. I’m sorry you don’t like that.Within the margin of error, so one cannot statistically say that. (I realize that this is very high level math that most people won't understand, but it is mathematically true.)
LolAnd yes, neither president's popularity is comparable to the level of previous president's, such as Bush's at this point in his presidency.
As I said, high level math is not for everyone...Biden has a higher rating than trump. I’m sorry you don’t like that.
Lol
So you want to go back to the dark ages... Okay....I make a motion for a party of Capitalism to advance industrial forms of automation that have infrastructure build itself whenever we need to upgrade it to modern times; if our political parties only have politics as usual instead of better solutions at a potentially lower cost. Object orientation can help with mass production on Earth and eventually be sent ahead with human followup.
Oh man... i guess you just told me. What are you, 12?Unfortunately for you, I have degrees in this stuff and it is my area of work.
No, you're wrong because the idiotic statement, "if you gave everyone $xxxxxxxx" millionaires would be considered poor" doesn't illustrate supply and demand, nor does it have any semblance to reality. Your position is contradictory. In one sentence, you claim that deficit reduction could reduce supply and cause inflation:But I’m wrong because “Trump bad, Biden good…”
Inflation happens when the balance between supply and demand CHANGES. The rate of the deficit hasn’t change enough to disrupt this balance. If they decide to reduce the deficit aggressively, the could reduce supply and cause inflation. So it depends…
If Biden gave away 1 trillion dollars to every person in the USA, do you think everyone could live like bill gates? Of course not, prices would go up to offer the large supply of money. Milk would cost $10,000 a gallon. That is what happened when Biden paid every Tom, Dick, and Harry to stay home with enhanced unemployment benefits that lasted far too long…
You should probably stop trying then.As I said, high level math is not for everyone...
yea, poor trump.Kinda like positive approval ratings...![]()
Yes, he and Biden have similar negative approval numbers. They are not very popular. You should probably stop trying then.
yea, poor trump.
LMAO! Thanks for proving my point. Yes, I posted those numbers early in the thread. Bidenflation is not a worldwide phenomenon. The main difference between my contentions and yours is I can support my contentions with citations.

I know. Even worse for trump. He never had a positive approval rating lol.Yes, he and Biden have similar negative approval numbers. They are not very popular.
Yep. Neither has approval ratings like popular presidents did. Literally the worst two in modern history, and within the margin of error of each other. Compared to popular presidents like Bush, at this point in his term, it is embarrassing.I know. Even worse for trump. He never had a positive approval rating lol.
We didn’t have propaganda networks working overtime back then.Yep. Neither has approval ratings like popular presidents did. Have you even mentioned anything related to the thread? Biden's approval rating might get GQP hardliners erect, but it has nothing to do with inflation. And yes, neither president's popularity is comparable to the level of previous president's, such as Bush's at this point in his presidency.
