Indiana governor: New law 'not about discrimination'

Dude, you might as well say you believe in the Force. Its every bit as reasonable as saying you believe that money and class and government will all disappear.

I believe it could happen, let me ask you, do you think unregulated capitalism will happen?

How do communists get resources? They steal them of course.

Really now? Communism involves the common people sharing the resources, how is that stealing?

I don't think that word means what you think it does. Sharing is implicitly voluntary.

The 'theory' of communism that dances about in your dreams is not the 'reality' of communism that appears in practice. Aside from the impossibility of communism, its practicability is even worse since only a tiny fraction of the worlds population would actually want such a system were it even possible. Communism must be IMPOSED, otherwise it will be voluntarily rejected. That is why in practice it is the evil that it is.

Utopia-based fantasy is always like that. Next he'll tell us that dreaming about utopia constitutes a worldview.

You make the assumption that people in a communist society wouldn't want to share.

Marxism is accepted as a world view, no matter what you think about it, sorry. Keep throwing out disrespectful statements, make yourself feel better.

Communism has never been put into practice, sorry. All we have are self proclaimed socialist states. That might have something to do with the immediate hatred of the word communism when most people can't even explain what it is. I agree, communism will most likely never happen, but I can see it as a possibility in the future.

You make the assumption that anyone gives a crap about utopian fantasy. Why not discuss the way things would be in Starship Troopers world? How about Star Trek? At least then we could wear nifty uniforms.

Keep telling yourself that and ignoring the responses you get.

Oh come on, you're dismissing all of communism as a Utopian fantasy, and making ridiculous statements. You're statements speak volumes about your character.

I'm not worried about my character. At least I don't indulge in childish fantasy and pretend it represents any kind of philosophical underpinning. Your "worldview" boils down to "waaaah!" Why not join us in the modern world and seek realistic and practical solutions to world development? It's as if the only thing you know about the world you learned from outdated books. You don't even understand how the rise of rights fulfilled Marx's desires.

That shouldn't be surprising after you spewed crap about Leviticus without knowing the difference between ceremonial law and moral law, as explained in the New Testament. Gross ignorance.

Enlighten me.

But it totally can happen, are you trying to infringe on my religious belief of not paying money to anybody? Why must you attack my faith, Navy Pride!

You live in this country and reap the benefits it provides you pay your taxes.....Its as simple as that my left wing friend.

It is no question that a select few control the means of production, and are focused on profit. Also, wage slavery?

It's complete nonsense to call voluntarily agreeing to a certain wage slavery. It is also nonsense to say that somehow you are held back from succeeding in a capitalist system. If that was true then all those corporations you see when driving down the road would not exist.

Do you know what wage slavery is?
Wage slavery refers to a situation where a person's livelihood depends on wages or a salary, especially when the dependence is total and immediate
It really depends on where you are born as to when you are "held back" but for the majority of people in the world, capitalism holds them back, and the inherent divide between the bourgeoisie's interests and the proletarians interests will never go away.

But my religion thinks taxes are a sin. Why should the government intrude on my religious rights by taxing me?

They might need to clarify a bit, but no one should be able to be targeted and put out of business because of their mainstream religious beliefs.

Mainstream Christianity doesn't support shunning people.

And nobody's business is being targeted for their religious beliefs-- they're being targeted for their discriminatory business practices. As it should be.

Supporting freedom sometimes means that the action you support being legal is less than desirable. It's just one of those things people that support freedom must deal with.

That is the best argument I have heard you make for pro-choice.

Hang in there Mike, there are a lot of us behind you.

Yahoo!

Pence and the rest of the bigots in the Indiana legislature are going to learn a costly lesson. Bigotry is costly in America today. I feel sorry for the good taxpayers of Indiana who not only are going to spend millions defending this unconstitutional law that will eventually be stricken....they will lose even more billions in revenue as a result of the bigotry of their leaders.

The government can't make you serve or work for everyone.
