They can make a years wages working one month in America. And even more depending on the job they get.

You can say that if they if they stay home, they aren't very ambitious.

If the founding fathers were of little ambition for their country we would be speaking German today. No revolution, no America, no WWI victory .

Only ignorant hysterics buy into conspiracy nutter nonsense and claim to know what is true. The sane investigate and look at facts.

That's a platitude but I don't understand why or what it means in context.

Too many viewings of red dawn...

Assuming we're talking about the 1984 original.
Red Dawn isn't quite a suitable analogy because it's about a foreign enemy invasion, not a civil war.
Despite our squabbles, it's a pretty safe bet that if the United States were to be attacked by a foreign enemy, unity would prevail.
It always has in the past, for better or worse.

Not only that but John Milius should be kicking himself because as it turns out, the United States "stands alone" alright, but not because of leftists, as indicated in the film's prologue:

The film's opening prologue states: "Soviet Union suffers worst wheat harvest in 55 years. Labor and food riots in Poland. Soviet troops invade. Cuba and Nicaragua reach troop strength goals of 500,000. El Salvador and Honduras fall. Greens party gains control of West German Parliament. Demands withdrawal of nuclear weapons from European soil. Mexico plunged into revolution. NATO dissolves. United States stands alone".

As it turns out, America's allies are abandoning us because of actions by Trump and the Trump Right, not "leftists".
In fact, it's Trump that's attacking NATO and trying to dissolve it, not a bunch of lefties.
The Greens aren't taking over Germany.
AfD (Alternativ fur Deutschland - an extreme RW fascist party) is actually gathering power.

DISCLAIMER: My first wife's ex-husband was Red Dawn producer Barry Beckerman.

What is wrong with facts?

Yes facts.
It's a fact that "The Original Confederates" got their asses kicked.
It's a fact that the Klan has gotten their asses kicked and require massive police protection to exit any of their public parades alive.
It's a fact that the Nazis inspired the entire free world and even some of the "less free" to gang up and kick their ass.
And it's a fact that "The New Confederates" who appear to be a driving force behind this new plot, "The Boogaloo" are going to get their asses kicked as well, and this time, whoever winds up in the role of "General Sherman" will be sure to not leave a single living organism or even one thing of value behind when he marches to the sea.

The point is they come in here as criminal invaders, which is against our immigration laws.

lol. Where is the express Immigration clause in our federal Constitution. Only illegals don't care about the laws. Only practitioners of the abomination of hypocrisy blame the less fortunate.

Career professional military, officer class, lifers...I doubt they're going to put up with all this civil war talk or talk of fighting to defend a particular president, (instead of The Constitution) or any other nonsense.

If a president decides to label, address or treat half the country as a domestic enemy, I think that's when he loses the support of the military because that is when the military will lose the support of all but the most extreme lunatics.
Once that happens, the options narrow down to either pulling our collective heads out of our collective bungholes or a repeat of Fort Sumter.

The latter didn't end up going very well for the folks who started it, and it's interesting that it's the same folks threatening to start it again.
And every time another one of them issues threats of another civil war, they're racheting up both their commitment AND their culpability.

The military is certainly not going to back Trump if push comes to shove, and everyone knows it. The marines were the only service branch where he had any significant degree of support, and since he got rid of Mattis that’s likely gone down the tubes as well.

Trump’s supporters will throw a tantrum, and you’ll send plenty of “lone wolf” attacks or attempted attacks, but for the most part they’ll stick to posting garbage about the “deep state” on the internet.

Not really, I just enjoy these self proclaimed illusions. They certainly give some value to your state of mind and your lack of common sense coupled with your lack of ability to support such nonsense.

Entertaining though, I'll give you that much.

Are you denying that hunters make up a significant portion of gun users?

Are you denying that the militia movement exists?

Are you denying that conservatives fly the confederate flag?

I am saying your hypothetical uprising against a tyrannical government led by confederate flag waving deer hunters is a self proclaimed illusion. Pretty funny though. lol

Wasn't it gun totting colonials who rebelled agains the unfair system of taxation without representation that led to the creation of this country? That's actually a bit of a farce as the British Parliament was in place to represent the people in the British Empire.

Yes I understood the conflict, I was just pointing out the gorilla style of average Americans...

Ummm, not trying to be a spelling nazi but were you saying "gorilla" or "guerilla"?

guer·ril·la
/ɡəˈrilə/

noun
noun: guerilla
a member of a small independent group taking part in irregular fighting, typically against larger regular forces.

The militia movement is responsible for numerous terrorist attacks. Oklahoma City bombing was the work of a militia thug

Which means what? Confederate flag carrying deer hunters are going to lead an uprising?

I already addressed the fact that aside from a couple dozen “lone wolves” bombing and shooting things up, the Trump cult will just throw a tantrum and scream about the “Deep State” whenever he leaves office, one way or another.

Very well stated my friend!!!

I just wanted to make sure you were referencing ad hoc irregular fighters, not a furry lowland primate ape.
Ummm, not sure I could describe Americans as guerillas because for the most part guerillas fight for a cause and I doubt Americans could describe or define their "cause" in a compelling and convincing manner.

Strolling around strapped with firearms because you can't get a haircut is hardly described as a cause! :lamo

Isn't that standard operating position when combat troops deploy?

No. I was in the Nat'l Guard. Deployed to patrol an area hit by tornado.
No weapons were given to us.

Why deploy weapons on a USA college campus?

Well given that protestors there had burned down the campus ROTC building I think one might believe reasonably that they were entering a hostile area.
