Illegal ‘DREAMers’ Threaten To Leave The Country If Congress Doesn’t Reach A DACA Deal

Dang , this should be easy then, just back up the buses.

Yeah, yeah. And Rosie O'Donnell and Alec Baldwin will be driving the buses...
More useless posturing.

It isn’t a threat or ultimatum.

one of these DREAMers, Alex Velez, said, "I will leave. I will leave America as soon as possible,” claiming that she would prefer to depart the country on her own terms than wait for the United States to collect and deport her.

Wouldn’t you rather leave on your own terms and have time to pack, say your good byes and get your affairs in order rather than be swooped up without warning? It has to be rough enough being kicked out of the country you grew up in. They made the naive mistake of trusting our government when it said if they filed the appropriate paperwork they would be safe. Now we can just use that paperwork to track them down. The ones who decided to follow their parents’ lead and remain undocumented will most likely stay under the radar and continue to live in America. The ones who willingly came out of the shadows their parents put them in will be the ones shown the door. The ol’ bait and switch.

Doesn't this assume there will be no grace period, unlike the TPS for Haitians? Don't they have almost 2 years to sort things out?

Thats great news. Illegal aliens should not get any kind of legal status. If anything our elected officials should make sure another president can't grant legal status or delayed deportation so that this mess doesn't happen again. I am all for illegals leaving on their own, saves us money of having to deport them. If I had it my any then any illegal we caught would be deported the furthest point away from us in their country. Mexicans for example would be deported to Cancun , while Canadians would be deported to Alert, Nunavut.

Likely not and they should have gotten 6 months.

Well, you know what they say about letting that door hitting you on the...whatever...

Oh the horror! Next thing you'll know, murderers will quit murdering if the law against murder isn't repealed.
