ICE fascist scumbags at it again.

Ready and waiting though im not so smug to think i am going to be the vanguard, dont have the ability.

Lots of ways to have a revolution, bud.

I'm giving this a lot of thought these days, for my own reasons not connected with yours. If I figure anything out I'll let you know. ;)

I am all for folks from other countries to comment on our business.
When you call for mayhem here while you sit back in your recliner and just observe, I say stop.
All this can be solved, peacefully.
So again, no.
Bite me.

Sorry, allow me to take another stab at this eloquent response of yours, as I was a little shocked the first time around.

First of all, your opinion on whether or not people from other countries get to weigh in here is as irrelevant as when the maga folks try to drop it. Do better.

Second of all, nowhere did I suggest violence. I understand for the majority of American minds, that's your go to, and likely the best you can come up with, but as a self described progressive I do not advocate for violence, as it never works. Which, if you weren't in such a rush to extend me an invitation to "bite" you, this could have been explained and demonstrated in a much more civil manner.

Third of all, you already have mayhem. And while YOU sit back in YOUR recliner and "just observe", real people are being harmed by that mayhem, people outside your country that have nothing whatsoever to do with the shit show that your shithole country has become.

So pardon the **** out of me if I have an opinion on this, and choose to advocate in whatever direction I please, on an international debate forum, and I'll thank you to do even the slightest bit of due diligence before you attempt to misrepresent my position.

As for you saying "Stop"... lol Good luck with that.

Ok then

Hehe... I'm glad I hit reply after the edit, and actually paid attention. I wasn't sure why I was getting put on the hot seat over Russia.

Take your country back, bud. It might be argued that you're not at the "by any means necessary" point yet, but I'm not sure I'd be as inspired to come up with points from that side of the debate.

Unfortunately the people of any country have very little they can do to take their country back when corrupt people rule at the highest level. I don’t believe all Iranians or Russians are bad people but what exactly can they do about the world’s perception of their respective countries? It is easy for you to tell us what to do. The same thing could happen in your country and you would be just as powerless. We all have our normal everyday lives to lead and most of us have absolutely no power to change the negative image of our country when crooked people are in power. And also, this may actually represent what too many Americans want to be seen as. So we are also up against those just as powerless as us because we have way too many assholes in our population. This may be the true face of America, and it is an ugly one.

Donald Trump and all his fascist racist buddies and supporters can fornicate themselves with an iron stick.

Sorry, I disagree.

Non-violent revolutions have succeeded to some extent or another numerous times within the last century:

  • The Indian Independence Movement
  • The American Civil Rights Movement
  • The Velvet Revolution
  • The Singing Revolution
  • The People Power Revolution
  • The Orange Revolution
  • The Rose Revolution
  • The early part of the Tunisian Revolution
  • The Berlin Wall Fall
  • The Sudanese Revolution
  • The early part of the Anti-Apartheid Movement

Where there's a will, there's a way. You are not powerless. You just need to find the will.

Of course, if you are really "powerless", why are you here? Why bother talking about this at all? Is it actually just a giant bitch fest, an opportunity to harvest dopamine by being ugly to each other? I really need to know.

Im a citizen i call for mayhem that strikes deep into the heart of this administration though it isnt us that started the mayhem.

Lets not go there.
Nothing else has worked or is going to work. When justice fails so completely that the biggest criminal is untouchable, there are very few options.

People entering my country have to prove to the satisfaction of the inspecting officer that they are not an intending immigrant. I have significant doubt regarding the veracity of the details of this story, especially since all we hear is her side of it.

Prepare to have zero tourism if you think interogationg them for the crime of being on holiday is acceptable.
I know I wouldn't want to visit if I'm going to face questions about why I'm there even though I've done everything to get into the US as a standard tourist.

Also the satifaction of who exactly and how far are you willing to take these interogations?

I'm sure everyone employed in the tourism business won't mind the vast drop in income.

I thought that you would be glad that white people are also being targeted... thus calming down the racist accusations, but you just pivoted instead.

.
Why would we be glad? The purpose of antiracism is to end abuse, never been (oh hey we should abuse whitey just as much)

Aside from advocating violence being against the TOS, there have been successful revolutions in which fighting occurred, the American revolution accomplished its goals. The Vietnamese revolution eventually accomplished its goals, the bolshevik, and the slave revolts all pushed past a tipping point so i do not discount all violence as being unsuccessful. I do not frown upon those who violently resist brutal oppression in general.

It's never been about "illegals". As with abortion, and gay marriage, and middling trans female swimmers, it's always been stripping the state of the commonweal and sharpening it back into a weapon of possession and domination.

And don't forget viral campaigns. If you win the internet, you win the real world, since the internet is all that matters anymore anyway.
Or, not, if the grid goes down.

Nothing else has worked or is going to work. When justice fails so completely that the biggest criminal is untouchable, there are very few options.
So what do you suggest?

Or, not, if the grid goes down.

Hehe... very true, I was making suggestions from the current state.

If the grid goes down to the extent that we lose the internet for such an extended period that online social campaigns cease to be effective, well, I think that would solve a lot of problems - albeit creating new ones. But at least people would be forced to step outside of their echo chambers, think for themselves, and escape the group think that seems to have paralyzed America, and, indeed, many parts of the world. And, hopefully, they would see that there are far more effective ways to make their society better than talking shit on the internet.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very pro technology, and the internet *could* be a massively effective tool of change towards a more positive society, but only if people employ a little discipline and thoughtfulness.

Sadly, while it has been a tool of massive change, I'm not so sure it has reached it's potential on the positivity front.

If violence worked in the past, given the amount of violence in the past, we'd have no problems now.

Violence may work in the short term, but exists as a justification for more violence in the mid to long term. It doesn't result in real solutions, but acts more like a bloody pendulum.

Humans need to evolve past that failing strategy, in my opinion. While it might feel good, it doesn't get you where you want to go - something I need to remind myself of often when I think about what it would take to fix things while I'm frustrated, angry, and scared.

OK, despite being shocked at both of your responses, I'll shelf this for now, we'll talk again when more details are available.
I'm not sure what it is about either of my replies that "shocks" you. The first is just a plausible scenario, based on what we've been told, that would lead to someone being refused admission. In the second, the part about overcoming an assumption of being an intending immigrant isn't even something that's just my opinion on how things should be; it's almost verbatim the law.

Keep reading, I addressed this in greater detail to someone else. Post 44.

Kind of a pattern here?

From this story:

"Officers also allegedly told Saroukos, who was only planning on staying for a three-week visit, that she had too many clothes in her suitcase."

From the two German girl's deportation story.

"Included in their travel documents were interrogation transcripts signed by the girls, which “contained sentences we didn’t actually say,” said Charlotte after the ordeal. “They twisted it to make it seem as if we admitted that we wanted to work illegally in the US.”"

These ICE guys are struggling to meet quotas, and are thus, cut loose to make all sorts of arbitrary and subjective decisions.

It’s an atmosphere of fear. Those at the bottom feel that if they don’t act in a Gestapo manner, they will be fired by their managers who then fear their higher-ups, and these steps of fear goal the way up to the Chief fear-monger Noem. Do your Gestapo work or you will immediately be fired.
