In an interview broadcast Sunday on CNN's State of the Union, Gates praised Obama’s approach to decision-making as the nation's commander-in-chief.
"He is very analytical," Gates told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King. "He is very deliberate about the way he goes through things. He wants to understand everything. He delves very deeply into these issues."

I think Obama is slowly beginning to earn a deeper and more genuine sort of respect from the American people than the wild adoration he inspired in the beginning. That was merely his surface charm, his facility with language, his exciting but rather general ideas about change.
Now, people are beginning to see the real Obama, the man behind the slogans... and intelligent people are liking and respecting him even more than before.

what would you expect gates to say about his boss?
with all due respect, the fact he was asked is far more interesting than his reply
Then how do you explain the drop from 70 to 50 percent approval?
His policies - virtually none of them - have majority support. They still "like" HIM, as a person, but not as a president and policy maker.
to nicely speak no evil if there was nothing nice to say
Did you expect him to say that his boss was a dumb prick?
Not sure why this was particularly newsworthy.

I find TheProf's attitude of "things are going bad, LOLOLOL" to be very revealing. Some one who puts political points over the well being of the country and the people in it can and should be ignored.
I love how the Libbos are making such a big deal of this. :rofl

Actually, I was quite thinking the opposite. As in, wtf is the problem with all the righties? If you don't like it, whatever. Can't see the benefit from not wanting to hear that SecDef and CiC work well together .... but not liking it to the extent of posting negative messages about it????
Sure is hard to take the right seriously, sometimes.
I bet that a couple of years ago, Gates wasn't the hero he is now. That's what so hillarious about this thread.
I think alot of people were very relieved when he replaced Rumsfeld.
But, very few, if any, were Libbos.
Why do you say this stuff? It's just not true.
Unanimous confirmation in committee, 95-2 in the full senate, and impressive reviews of his confirmation hearings.

This is your proof? Seriously?
Depth, analysis, and curiosity. All good things to have in the CEO/CiC of our country ...
Uh, yea, and it's actual history, instead of your posts of just stuff pulled from nowhere.
