Well I think this is a particularly difficult moment in history...The hyper partisanship...maybe, maybe if we all could just have a little more empathy and try to understand other people we could get to a place of respectful disagreements...most people, left or right are not insane or evil...

Now some ideas are just plain dumb and/or evil and need to be called out...But being against abortion or for lower taxes are perfectly defensible...

And also, very importantly: Ordinary Trump voters who voted for him for many different reasons are not all cultists...I maybe should have been more precise with my language...When I mean Trumpers I mean those 40 percent (a recent poll I believe) or so who are loyal to him no matter what he does and tend to believe everything he says and dismiss every other bit of information...that chunk of trump voters, who esentially became members of a cult of personality, is very worrysome...cultish ideas are never great...But I do think one should treat them with empathy and dignity...that goes a long way...

There of course is also far left uber-woke cult of people who wanna cancel people for jokes and minor mistakes, ban Shakespeare from the classroom, rename schools named after lincoln and who say all who disagree with them are dumb, evil or bought and who say they have the absolute truth...No debate needed...they are also quite cultish...but again...also a minority...

But most people left or right are not cultish...so I am asking everyone to have reasonsble debates with those who think differently and want to have reasonable debates...and also EMPATHY with everyone, especially the cultists...disagree forcefully with the conspiracy theorist...but with empathy...

Well sure, it ain't an easy task...Understanding other peoples perspectives requires a lot...it is incredibly hard to escspe your own perspective...

But look...most Trump voters are not cultist or loyalist...most of those on the left aren't either...

But unfortunately there has developed this Trumper cult of like 40 percent of his voters who will defend him no matter what he does or says... And there is also this anti conservative hate coming from some of those on the left...

My 92 year old aunt passed away. - she had Covid with the only symptom being a sore throat.

With or without Covid her heart had been in failure for a couple years - I consider she died "with" Covid not "of" Covid.
