I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration

The New York Times would not put their reputation and credibility on the line unless they vetted this source thoroughly. I have no doubt the source is real but I don't feel that any anonymous source has much credibility. I also believe that the source of this information will come out sooner or later. He/she will have to give up their job in the White House to do that but these high positions in government are aggressively protected. This source will have to decide if they want to change the course of history or remain incredulous with their anonymity.

IMO no one at the White House has any business making such a public statement. If Trump is this dangerous to our democracy (And he is... or at least would be were he the least bit competent) then the only statement they should be making publicly is a demand for his immediate impeachment. If you're not willing to do that, then do your job, keep quiet, and keep your vow to protect the constitution.

Coming out like this does nothing positive. Those who can think already see the danger. Those who can't will just see this as proof of the deep state. It may be heart felt, but it makes the problem worse.

Regardless we will know soon. Being that close to the president and having so few people to choose from it will come out sooner than later. In a way I can't believe the anonymous source would think he can stay incognito.

Also how if it isn't Pence is anyone else considered Treasonous for saying this? Most of Swampy allies have remained by his side through this. All the Generals and Sarah Hucka-Sands.

Pence has been very quiet and sneaky as of late. He's been running shadow campaigns at Swampy properties in DC. He hasn't chimed in on any of the other scandals, probably since the Access Hollywood tape.

Just to be clear, Deep Throat apparently knew about illegal activity, at least enough to point Woodward and Bernstein in the right direction.

"Lodestone," in contrast, isn't alleging any illegal activity. He's saying that Trump is amoral and not mentally competent, and the Trump administration is only working because White House staffers are doing what they want, rather than what Trump wants.

As "Lodestone" points out, we can see this with how the White House handles Russia. Trump sucks up to Putin, while the White House slaps Russia with sanctions. I don't think the "Republican Resistance" is as successful as Lodestone thinks, but there are definitely signs that administration staffers really aren't following Trump's insane orders.
