How Serious Is This? Consider What The FBI Would Do To Us

Why would a criminal be pardoned by President Biden? Trump organized a violent coup resulting in 5 dead and 150 cops seriously injured.

What, exactly, do you think a pardon is?

By the way, I am a citizen of the United States, not a member of some tribe, whatever that is.

Being a citizen of the U.S. is no protection against tribalism.

Being a citizen of the U.S. is no protection against tribalism.

I know what a pardon is. If you do not, you should not have mentioned it.

Sorry, that tribe stuff is not worth responding to.

Hillary wasn’t and she had same level classified docs.
That is a lie. There were no TS/SCI documents on Hillary's server. That is absurd. Those documents cannot leave Govt. custody EVER.

Watchdog: Clinton's server had classified material beyond 'top secret

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said some or all of the emails deemed to implicate “special access programs” related to U.S. drone strikes. Those who sent the emails were not involved in directing or approving the strikes, but responded to the fallout from them, the official said.

The information in the emails “was not obtained through a classified product, but is considered ‘per se’ classified” because it pertains to drones, the official added. The U.S. treats drone operations conducted by the CIA as classified, even though in a 2012 internet chat Presidential Barack Obama acknowledged U.S.-directed drone strikes in Pakistan.

The source noted that the intelligence community considers information about classified operations to be classified even if it appears in news reports or is apparent to eyewitnesses on the ground. For example, U.S. officials with security clearances have been warned not to access classified information leaked to WikiLeaks and published in the New York Times.

Comey’s testimony was several days worth. Can you narrow it down at all?

"From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received," Comey said at his press conference Tuesday. "Eight of those chains contained information that was Top Secret at the time they were sent."

22 Hillary Clinton Emails Dubbed Top Secret

LOL emails that mention drone strikes are not classified TS/SCI. Those documents may never leave NSA custody and can only be viewed on site.

The U.S. treats drone operations conducted by the CIA as classified, even though in a 2012 internet chat Presidential Barack Obama acknowledged U.S.-directed drone strikes in Pakistan.

For example, U.S. officials with security clearances have been warned not to access classified information leaked to WikiLeaks and published in the New York Times.

“Even though things are in the public domain, they still retain their classification level,” the official said. “The ICIG maintains its position that it’s still ‘codeword’ classified.”

22 Hillary Clinton Emails Dubbed Top Secret

Two things.

TS/SCI documents are stored in a room. A secret room. They can't be duplicated and stored on a server.

Yuge difference between a private server and the storage room next to the pool at Mar a Lago.

When you catch Clinton with boxes of docs in her basement, let us know.

"If you choose to stand beside this man politically after this, you never get to talk about supporting the troops again because you are putting them at risk. You never get to talk about wanting a strong country again, because you're weakening it. You never get to talk about how diversity training is weakening the military, because nothing weakens it more than not being able to protect its secrets."

Which is why they will triple the volume of their talk of such things.

Hillary wasn’t and she had same level classified docs.

So who floated but Hillary? You all started doing it at the same time and in the same way, enough so that people have even made threads about the Foxian defense.

So you support the search of MAL, right?
The notion of it, yes. I'd like to know that it was done with better responsibility and oversite than other examples of things that have done, like illegitimate wire taps on Trump people. I'm still pissed that the FBI agent that knowingly altered an email to falsify a warrant got off with a slap on the wrist.

Trump people like Paul Manafort?

I'm still pissed that the FBI agent that knowingly altered an email to falsify a warrant got off with a slap on the wrist.

It was an FBI lawyer, and the only person to be charged in Durham's investigation. The details seem pretty innocuous:

Clinesmith admitted that in June 2017 he sent an altered email to an FBI agent that indicated a target of court-ordered FBI surveillance, former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, was “not a source” for the Central Intelligence Agency. The statement, passed along as the FBI was applying for a third extension of surveillance of Page, made Page’s actions seem more suspicious by downplaying his past cooperation with the CIA.

Clinesmith insisted that he thought the statement was true at the time and only altered the message to save himself the hassle of procuring another email from the CIA. Prosecutors contested that claim, arguing that the FBI lawyer intended to mislead his colleague, but Boasberg sided with the defense on that point.
“My view of the evidence is that Mr. Clinesmith likely believed that what he said about Mr. Page was true,” Boasberg said. “By altering the email, he was saving himself some work and taking an inappropriate shortcut.”

How many were charged and convicted under Mueller's so-called 'nothing burger' investigation? Hint: more than one.

The espionage act contains the relevant laws that he broke. It doesn't mean he was actually spying or looking to sell the information to a foreign power. It just includes the laws that cover this kind of mishandling of classified information.

As far as Espionage Act -- look, if we're going to say that holding what were apparently hard copies of classified information that were being withheld from the new government is the gold standard, then Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning (who last I know was being held because she wouldn't testify against Assange) must be set free.

Something you missed there about 'holding' classified documents is the difference between taking or leaking them - which trump and Manning did - and receiving them from leakers and publishing them, which journalists including Assange and American newspapers do.

Oh, no doubt the average citizen would be ****ed. But let's get real, ex-presidents are above the law for the most part, like it or not (I don't like).
They are. But it doesn't make the MAGA Commie's defense of Trump's actions any less disgusting.

MAGA Commies are truly Anti-American filth.

I know what was done, no need for the quote, and it wasn't innocuous at all. He knowingly altered an email as part of a wire tap operation. The name was right there in the quote, btw, so not sure why you talked brought up Manafort. Also, we could talk about things like Comey getting let off the hook for admittedly leaking information.

So who floated but Hillary? You all started doing it at the same time and in the same way, enough so that people have even made threads about the Foxian defense.

It was sort of obvious.

I mean, if, in 2024/Jan 2025, Republicans start claiming that Biden might to to keep power unethically, and start talking about how it's completely unethical and dangerous and wrong for any politician to undercut trust in our elections by claiming they didn't really lose when they did...

.... It's not exactly going to take MSNBC to remind people of Trump.

Honestly, keep saying you aren't stuck in a cult hivemind while defending Dear Leader for taking top secret/nuclear documents! Absolutely sickening.

If you libs/leftists aren't subbed to Beau of the Fifth Column on YT I strongly recommend it. Short and to the point videos. He's a deep thinker and a quick wit.

Anyways, here are a few of his thoughts on the news, particularly about the Top Secret SCI-designated documents:

"[TS/SCI documents] are so secret they can only be viewed in a room specifically designed to protect secrets."

"[Some say], 'If I did this they would've already arrested me' No, if you did this you'd be in a basement somewhere being interrogated until you talked, and they would not hold anything back."

"Some say], 'I'd be looking at 10-20.' No, if you took SCI documents, had the opportunity to return them, elected not to, and went about your day probably meeting with foreign nationals, no you wouldn't be looking at 10-20. 10-20 would be what the groundskeeper tells your family when they go to visit you. Row 10, Plot 20."

If it TRULY was an accident that all of those boxes were removed from the White House in Jan 2021, then it's possible that the average Joe might not face any jail time. The average Joe doesn't live in a house with a SCIF containing classified documents, like Trump does in the White House. The circumstances in this case are just very unique. And I seriously doubt Trump was the one removing the documents from the SCIF himself.

However, the fact that the DOJ has been telling Trump for months to return all of the documents is going to make it very difficult for him to avoid criminal charges. It's willful negligence, if nothing else.
