How much of what happened was due to direct, active complicity by law enforcement?

I agree. Whether someone is looting a small store during a BLM protest, or charging a federal building after a Trump rally, we have a responsibility to document, report and testify against it, regardless of their purported cause. I suspect there is a bit of a double standard here, since in all fairness I haven't heard much about said looters, vandals etc. this summer being brought to justice. But perhaps they are and the issue is that it is not being reported. I don’t know either way.
There were hundreds, thousands arrested right at the BLM events, almost all as they happened this summer (most not tracked down days later). They didn't have to go looking for them, engaging the public to turn them in because they were actually arresting them right there, arresting far more than those doing the damage or actual rioting in fact (hence why many did have charges dropped). Whereas in this case, there were only a few dozen arrested on the 6th, with most being arrested for curfew violations, not for actually going into the Capitol, terrorizing our Congressmen during a very important, official part of our democracy. Not while many were yelling and establishing means of actually capturing and in at least a few cases, planning on executing some of our Congressmembers. They stole items, beat/assaulted officers, broke and vandalized things (of course it will be said, "but not as much as those this summer"). But those this summer who were rioting weren't the bulk of the protestors for BLM. In fact, many were taking advantage of the situation to do damage.

cool. We need to then start spamming every thread in which conservatives post with links to articles about these arrests. Just absolutely carpet bomb them with evidence that violence and riots during BLM and Antifa protests was condemned and perpetrators were brought to justice.

Even the NYPD warned the Capitol Police that there was going serious trouble. And the FBI warned them.. And on and on.. They ignored them all..

Time to clean house..
