How Donald Trump crushed Ted Cruz

Can you imagine how much fun this general election is going to be?

I can't stand Trump, I'll never vote for him. But I got to admit he's made this election a lot of fun, and if he's in the GE, he'll make that fun too.

I have never paid as much attention to the primaries as I am now. Both sides have me salivating for more. Do you know what is missing at this point which was fun 4 years ago. The DP Donation bets for who wins what. I wonder when those are starting.

It's actually much simpler than that. Cruz does well in one demographic and one demographic only: evangelicals. They're the only demographic to which his deranged ideology appeals. To the rest of the republican base, and certainly to the rest of the country, he's the anti-Christ.

That just proves you're a religious bigot. I doubt anyone is surprised.

No, it means I don't trust someone who thinks they're bigger than it all.

Trump doesn't have a stitch of integrity. Nor does Hillary.

We've nominated scum.

That is, of course, up to you. Whatever you feel most comfortable with.
But please consider this, we aren't voting for a clergy but someone who, without bias and agenda, seeks to represent all Americans, Atheists, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sheikh, Muslims.........., keeping us save and prosperous.
If they pray to God, that is great, but I won't vote for them because they do. As a Christian, I do believe that we are governed by a person of God's choosing, whether we like that person or not. We may not understand why. Having faith means that we surrender to God's will.

Or perhaps the test is to stand on principle and support neither of these miscreants.

An atheist has hoodwinked the Republican party.

Personally, I'm ashamed.

It's about time someone purged the GOP of the wacky religious right. That baggage will ruin your party in the long run.

It would be nice, but unlikely in America. Atheists aren't a large percentage and aren't even electable. I mean, Trump even talks about god and the bible and all that nonsense all the time. I don't see where Erod is getting this "atheist" thing from anyway.

For a lot of religious crazies, anyone who doesn't believe exactly what they do is an atheist. I've seen fundamentalist Christians call Catholics atheists because they have doctrinal differences. It's insane, but what can you expect from people with imaginary friends?

I'll agree with you on that, but that has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with character. You made the point, of your own accord, to bring up religion, which is ridiculous for someone who self-identifies as a Christian. Whether you like it or not, Trump is a Presbyterian.

I know this. I've never voted for an atheist, and I'm not about to start now.

I can't know who you've voted for, but I suspect I've voted for atheists, but no one running would ever admit it and would instead carry a Bible with them wherever they went and make sure and sit in the front row at church.

Killary should be in prison before that could happen , wish again ! :lamo

The Clinton's are Teflon. I'll believe she'll be convicted of a crime when I see her hauled away in cuffs.

It has worked Trump, wonder how long it took him to find that family bible and blow the two inches of dust off of it, he probably keeps it in the fiction section. But yet his supports buy it, ignorance is bliss.

"I am a tremendous Christian! I am such a great Christian." - Donald Trump

Those aren't the words of a man who takes his faith seriously and humbly.

Faith aside, I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He's been busted on so many lies, almost as many as Hillary.

That is just it. They are such deeply embedded establishment, they know the who, the what and the where, and not much can stop them. How anyone can support such personification of corruption is beyond me.
Well, she is a woman. No ****. What an accomplishment.

Doesn't everybody?

I'm sure I have, too, but this would be the first time I KNOWINGLY did it.

Christians aren't wacky at all. They're the most reasonable and pleasant people you'll ever meet.

But you believe what MSNBC feeds you.

i will give him this

at least he does not wear some over-sized cross as a necklace pendant to tell everyone who sees him that he is a Christian

We get it. You don't like him because he is an asshole and a clown. Start there.
We know that politicians say whatever we want to hear. None of that makes them a great leader.
But being a true and great Christian doesn't mean they can lead a country either. That only means they are good Christians.
Being a leader and a Christian, now that is a great combination. I don't see anyone who meets that qualification, although I can think of one man who embraces Christian values more than the lip service Christians combined. But conservative Christians call him a socialist and dismiss him.

I rarely discuss religion, I suppose its my background, was taught that religion is a private matter. When I left the church, and became an atheist I kept that to myself as well, I don't knock others beliefs, or non beliefs, but I do knock politicians like Trump who find it convenient politically to all of a sudden find God, I doubt Trump had a religious epiphany, just a political one when he went GOP. Fake Christian, and a fake Conservative to boot. Trump believes in two things, himself and the $, if his supporters think otherwise, well fool on them.

I know that's the official Trump mantra. And there is no shortage of evidence to suggest that is true. But I have to believe that part of their disdain for him is that he is, first and foremost, un-electable. He is also a babbling buffoon that brings embarrassment to their brand. Trump has obvious character defects and psychological challenges. That is what he projects. I don't think they are comfortable trying to sell a mentally defective candidate to the masses.

I thought for sure that when Trump said that he was going to stop acting like the old Trump and be more "presidential," that would light even the dimmest bulb in the brains of his remaining supporters. "This is me today but don't worry. Tomorrow I am going to act like a different person. And when I get the nomination and go up against Hillary, I will act like that other person you want me to be." If that doesn't make even his staunchest supporters go, "WTF?" then I don't ever think they will come out of their coma.

Anyone who has seen even one primary in their lives knows this is how it works for all candidates, ever. You're one way to get the nomination and another in the head to head general.

I didn't say Christians. I said the Religious Right.

trumpeters appear to be more interested in backing Trump than keeping Cankles out of office

Anti-trumpeteers seem to be interested in the same thing. Cruz doesn't do any better against the Hilldebeast in this fantasy polling they have going thus far. And Kasich? He's won ONE state, one.

Christian values??? Which few out of context verses of the Bible are you referring to?

Neither do most Christians.

That's mostly reserved for black professional athletes and rappers.

Bingo. Can't stand him. He's a sign of the end of the world:)
