On this episode of Crazy **** Professors Say, we'll be examining the tweets of a New York sociology professor, who said that having a white nuclear family is "perpetuating white supremacy".

And if you're white and you have an interracial family, don't think you are in the clear. According to Ms. Crazy pants, you're still not helping because you aren't confronting 'your own racism or systemic white supremacy'. In short, if you're white, and you have white children, you should treat them like garbage, because wanting the best for your white children is perpetuating white supremacy, and we can't have none of that. And you know what, this woman, according to her own logic, is also perpetuating white supremacy. Why is she impeding the progress of people of color by remaining in that position? She needs to give up her job to a person of color who needs it.

So yeah, this lady is on a different plain of existence. No wonder she locked her account.

Yes, she definitely dives off of the deep end there. She technically isn't wrong that successful white families help perpetuate white supremacy, but I'm not sure what her solution is. Am I supposed to not work hard for my own family in order to theoretically help weaken white supremacy? I've always been a fan of trying to address problems of inequality by helping to raise people up a level. Suggesting that people should lower themselves in order to achieve some form of it seems stupid.
 

I think her overall point is that if you are white, you should not reproduce!
It would be nice if you removed yourself from the gene pool, but in no way should you add to it.

When I first came into a Union Shop I got told regularly "Man slow down, you are making everyone else look bad".... I was pissing off my peers by doing my job well.

On the other hand we know what happened to Unions.
 

So by this wack-job's screwed up logic, all families should be mixed race?? Since in America white people pretty thoroughly outnumber black people, wouldn't that mean that within several generations, "white" DNA would supplant "black" DNA?? OMG - I think that she's a closet White Power ass worm. Her real plan is to breed blacks out of existence. Pretty soon, there wouldn't be any black people left in America and the WP turd burglers have their all-white circle jerk.

It does seem stupid. You can never give enough away that you are able to alleviate all the suffering of others.

She also suggests that if you allow your children to inherit your house when you die, that you're perpetuating white supremacy. I downloaded a couple of her papers and scanned them. Odd stuff there.

It's almost as if she equates whiteness with evil. She doesn't seem to understand that people live their own lives, they have their own problems and challenges, and we're all just trying to make our own way in the world. If we don't base every one of out thoughts on subjecting ourselves and shaming ourselves for our whiteness, our lives don't matter.

Truly odd.

The solution is simple. Send black women to white families and the fertile male can breed a mixed bag of racial continuity and certainly solve the problem. Of course, it is obvious that the well educated Professor lady has stuff coming out of her mouth that should be coming out of her rectum or as the local redneck says, "She don't know chit from shinola."

I am going to go out on a limb here, say something real unpopular. She has a certain point, though I think she expressed it poorly. The point goes something like this: there are limited resources in this country. White people tend to have a better chance at getting those resources for their families, blacks some what less of a chance, for a variety of reasons. So the more successful white families out there means fewer resources for black families. I think that was her point, and I think she probably phrased it outrageously to make some kind of other point(for example, her point could be how people react to her saying that...I would do that kind of experiment in a heartbeat...if only people cared what I said).

99.9% of the time, when you see an article about something which seems outrageous, it is only outrageous because you where not given all the facts. I do not have the facts this time to say if this is truly outrageous or simply framed that way to get page views, but these type of stories should set off alarm bells for you.
 

In most cases, I'd agree with your point, because it makes sense. In her case, however, I think she's a bit off the wall. I downloaded a couple of her papers and she attacks feminists as white supremacists, and no matter how others have tried to defend what some feminists have done, it's not enough for her. It's not enough that they recognized the plight of women, they didn't do it in a way that put minority women ahead of white women - even when those feminists were being diverse and inclusive - she pointed out where they were wrong.

She seems to live in a bubble where she expects everyone to focus their lives healing what she feels are society's ills. And, she wants them to do it in a way whereby they sacrifice good parenting.

She's heavy into social engineering and shaming, which is why I think many are rejecting her idealism. And, she's as lily white as they come, literally. It'd be tough to find a person more white than she is, except perhaps a person afflicted with albinism. And, this is just my opinion, but at her age, platinum blonde comes out of a bottle. Is she flaunting her supremacy? I'd like to ask her that.
 
My new viewpoint in life...I'm not going to get worked up over what someone says that has no impact on my life.

I don't care what Tami whatever her name says and I don't care with this CUNY professor says. This is just click bait to get people pissed off to make $$$.
 

This is like when bi people dating the opposite sex get called "not gay enough."

Most people are attracted to the opposite sex. If you're bi and you go into a dating pool without a pre-existing bias or preference, odds are good you'll wind up with an opposite sex partner. That does not make you straight, and it does not mean you're not allowed to be in the LGBT community. It means most people are opposite sex attracted.

The majority of people in America are white. Even in iGen, who have the highest percentage of POC in our history. The odds are in favor of most of my partners being white, even if we had a perfectly integrated society where races didn't tend to self-isolate, which we don't. That does not make you racist, and does not mean you aren't a real ally. It means most people are white.

This is especially true since, sadly, opportunity is still unequal. Fact is, a lot of POC didn't have the educational opportunities I did, which means I won't see them as often in my pool. I do sometimes, and I have dated several POC. But undeniably, they are under-represented.

But I am neither ashamed of wanting someone who's into the same stuff I am, nor that I have dedicated my life to undermining the system that has made that a reality of my dating pool, and that we still aren't there yet. I'm not the only one in the game. I don't get to snap my fingers and make socioeconomic realities as I'd prefer them, where POC appear in my pool as frequently as would be dictated by their relative population.

But even if I could create that reality singlehandedly... most people are still white.

And wanting the best for a child does not have to be at the expense of other children. It is also profoundly irresponsible to force another sentient being onto the planet, and then undermine their ability to live a happy life. You put them here. You bare responsibility for all failures that result in increasing their instability. They suffering isn't worth less for being white.

Politics taken to the extent of destroying your own family is ****ing insane.
