This year, many are looking into a brand new rifle or pistol as their top choice for Christmas, and store owners said guns of all shapes and sizes have been flying off the shelves.Jake Terry sells guns at the Tackle Box in Fort Smith, and he said the month of December has been the hottest for all types of firearms."As far as Christmas sales, we've definitely noticed an increase," Terry said.According to FBI records, background checks for prospective gun buyers have gone up by 32 percent since last year's Black Friday shopping spree. Terry said the trend has been carried out mainly by first time buyers."Everybody seems to be just a little uncertain, and it's kind of better safe than sorry. They want to buy guns and ammunition, just in case," Terry said.
That's weird. I thought Obama was going to take everyone's guns?!

If that scumbag didn't think it would cost him house seats or the 2012 election he would if he could. His track record as a third rate state and federal senator was marked with an almost 100% consistent anti gun right record

Yes, gun sales are up. Sales of everything else is up around Christmas too. Big deal!
I posted this in another thread, then thought it would do well to discuss this as a stand alone thread....
So, here we go...This is what Obama's administration/Presidency has wrought....Insecurity high enough that people are increasing their gun purchasing in record numbers....Great success I say....

Perhaps. Lacking your mind reading skills, however, I have to rely on the fact that, if he's done anything with respect to guns, it's been to expand gun owners' rights.
You obviously miss the point in your weak assed attempt to be clever which failed miserably.
The point is that the intent of the Obama administration is clear to actually restrict sales of guns, and interfere with the 2nd amendment right to own a firearm. People are buying now ahead of that possibility.

We all know consumption is good for the economy. So yes, it's a success.
However, we also known that homicides involving friends and relatives always spike around the holidays...hmmmm

yet, gun ownership and the # of guns in private hands has skyrocketed since Clinton tried to impose a ban and accidental deaths and even intentional homicides have decreased.
that sort of bitch slaps your snarky little comment

No, this isn't what Obama's Presidency has wrought. This is what happens when ignorant people believe Obama is going to somehow take away guns.
Kudos for the increase in sales, which helps the gun sellers, but still ignorant nonetheless.
And used guns are cheap right now, due to the economy. No, head in the sand. I just don't think we should get riled up about it, Turtle.
Take it easy bro, it was a joke.
