Gov. Abbott Directs Texas State Guard To Monitor Operation Jade Helm 15

just with commies... I'm utterly bigoted against commies.

have fun with with your bigotry... hope it pays off for you.

Commies, and gays, and athiests, and liberals, and immigrants... iirc your list is much longer than you'll admit to, but of course bigotry isn't something to be proud of, so I understand you trying to pretend you don't have any. At least I recognize that mine isn't reasonable or rational.

Good points.

I was really hoping that after his twenty point beat down of Wendy Davis, Abbott would have no need to cater to the conspiracy crews. Or even better, that Abbott would simply be above catering to the conspiracy crews period.

As a side note, if the "monitoring" of the federal Special Forces training invovles walking more than 100 meters or so off pavement, there is no way that the Texas State Guard guys and gals can accomplish their mission.

what does that mean,is it saying national guard cannot go off pavement,or is it saying they are too weak to.

I'm not bigoted against gays, atheists, liberals, or immigrants...

you should stop telling lies....

your point about 1,200 troops somehow being construed to mean there's invasion going is merely a projection of your own naivete and ignorance... coupled with your personal politics.

From a link here...

On the internet, concern over JH15 has reached a near-fever pitch, with some critics fearing the exercises may be a pretext for:

Declaring martial law in some southwestern states.
Using the military to confiscate firearms.
Bringing in United Nations troops for “training” for potential future actions, along the lines that Obama himself has hinted.

And then there's the map on page 1 about the Texas being enemy territory.

Much of this is because of the conservative media hype machine.. And some people swallow their nonsense hook, line and sinker. They what to believe Obama is sending these troops to take their guns, or to set-up an invasion by the UN, or whatever. Knowing that there are people who are that gullible makes me sad. So I make fun of them.

I'm sure there are FEMA concentration camps all over the SW. And ISIS camps. Maybe these troops are there to beef up those camps.

And you're also bigoted against women enjoying sex outside of a well financed marriage judging by one of your recent replies in another thread. Like I said, at least I recognize my bigotry, that's a damned sight better than what you do.

are you trying to argue that everyone that has concerns is a CT nut?

nope... not bigoted against women enjoying sex outside of marriage either... that what?..strike 5 for you?

either you aren't very good at paying attention, you have a definite comprehension problem, or you have a very real problem with projection.... not sure which.

your incorrect assessments of me have nothign to do with your irrational bigotry, though.
I doubt you have considered that being bigoted against an entire state, you are also being bigoted against every person in that state.. including gays, single mothers, blacks people, Hispanics, whites, transsexuals, liberals, women who don't abort, women who do abort, ... etc...etc...etc...etc.........etc.

though i'm sure if we got you to clarify and narrow down your bigotry, we'd simply end up with white male conservatives... liberals ****ing hate white male conservatives.

:lamo

More red meat for the conservative talk lemmings and Fox listeners.

Like the Obamacare death panels, the FEMA concentration camps, the Mexican immigrants carrying Ebola to the US which would kill thousands here, and now this. I bet these very same people who are worried about this so called 'large military' buildup of 1,200 troops(LOL) infringing on their civil rights are the same people who don't give a crap when a cop shoots an unarmed suspect.

You bet? It seems you're the one making a big deal out of it, not the governor of Texas.

Haters keep hating...

What conspiracy?

Has concerns? Because of 1,200 troops?

You're in Texas, stock up on ammo and supplies and depends. Sorry, I can only respond to this level of stupidity and gullibility with ridicule.

You can't look at this objectively, but if you could you would see how stupid this is, it's dumber than the FEMA camps and Obama is a Muslim spy who's mission is to destroy the US. No wait, that one is pretty good too.

I agree that it's highly doubtful there something nefarious going on... however, folks have a legitimate concern about federal troops using their private lands without disclosing information or without getting permission.

that said, it only take a couple of bad apples to screw **** up.... one bad cop can cause harm... a few troops treading where they shouldn't can do the same.
your point about 1,200 troops somehow being construed to mean there's invasion going is merely a projection of your own naivete and ignorance... coupled with your personal politics.

now , do you have a legitimate complaint about monitoring the exercise or are you simply going to keep being juvenile?
Do you have any evidence that the private property owners have not given permission for the use of their land. Every exercise that I have taken part in all the private land we used we had the owners permission.

wait.. I'm the one who can't look at this objectively, but you're the one who has focused solely on conspiracy theories.

okie dokie. :screwy:

as a landowner, I have concerns about anyone on my land... those concerns get a bit more serious when it potentially involves troops.

I spend 25 years in uniform.... never did we exercise on private lands... not once.
any exercises we embarked on were on public lands or lands specifically set aside for military training
I would expect folks to have legitimate concerns over exercises on private lands.... and I would expect some CT'ers to take their bull**** too far.

I have doubts about the claim you held exercises on private lands....

That's fine you can doubt all you want. Just do me a favor. Look up Robin Sage and tell me where that is conducted.

Spending 25 years is great but what did you do in though those 25. My second year in I was on private land and have been several times after that. Different people in different jobs often have vastly different experiences in the military.

my doubts have been addressed.:)

not only was permission given from private landowners for that particular test.. .compensation was provided for those whom participated
seems everything is above board for that... the residents aren't really in the dark like they are over this one.

reading more, it seems there was an incident back in 2002 where a cop shot a couple of soldiers ( killed one of them) that were part of the exercise.... seems the cop didn't know anything about the exercise and confusion caused someone to die.
...which kinda points to some of the concerns people have( normal folks, not the crazy CTers)

In any event, i don't see a problem with the federal govt being open with the residents of affected areas, nor do i see a problem with the national guard monitoring the exercise.

No worries 😄.
We were told about that shooting when I went thru. The instructors said that was the reason that anytime we were not in uniform we had to wear arm bands that had a big RS on them.

4 years anti-aircraft missile defense(5923), 14 years infantry( 0311, 0369)...the remainder as 9999(Battalion, Regiment, and Division)

No worries .

a rather smart decision to wear identifying articles... as is the usual, a smart decision made too late and in response to an unfortunate accident.

Do you have any evidence to back that up with.

"In Bastrop, one of 12 Texas counties involved in the operation, there will be at most 60 soldiers, two Humvees and one night in which a helicopter exercise will take place, Lastoria said. Most of the exercises in Bastrop will take place on a private property leased at no charge to the Army by the landowner. The exercises that move off that property, he said, will be simulated transports to and from the other outposts in Texas."

So they are either using leased private land or they will be moving troops, most likely by road or helicopter to other outposts. What is the problem with that. It is not saying anything about using private land without the owners permission.

There were advisories indicting military personnel might be dressed in civilian clothing, and driving civilian vehicle, moving in and out of public places. This causes people to be unnerved.

Which has nothing to do with your earlier claims. It is also only CT nut jobs or people who get caught up by the nutjobs BS that would be concerned.
This is really not any kind of new never been done before training and it is for sure not the first time the military has dressed as civilians and moved in an out of public places in civilian cars.
