Just came out... OP ed by Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins:
GOP senator Susan Collins: Why I cannot support Trump
The snowball seems to be building.

So this is a couple of Senators and a Governor who have refused thus far?
Good. The credibility of the GOP in 2018 will depend on it's ability to say that it did not accede to, nor was it represented by, Trump in 2016.
Jeez, talk about not embracing reality! You need to think and not believe all you are told by the left.I don't think Collins is really embracing reality here. Trump is not an aberration, Trump is the inevitable consequence of a political party that consciously embraced racism and nativism
Probably. Trump will become the new Southern Strategy, hung around Republican necks for a generation.Eventually, most Republicans will say that. Will it be too late?

Well, good for her, but I am less than impressed. She wrote:

I revere the history of my party, most particularly the value it has always placed on the worth and dignity of the individual, and I will continue to work across the country for Republican candidates. It is because of Mr. Trump’s inability and unwillingness to honor that legacy that I am unable to support his candidacy."

The country needs two strong, moderate, centrist parties. In now only has one.

that's hackery at is silly worst. How was Romney or McCain part of that trend? or GHWB or Dole. The DNC has gone more left than the GOP has gone right

If Trump stays down in the polls or tanks even further, as it gets closer to the election they will be like rats fleeing the sinking ship to save themselves!Eventually, most Republicans will say that. Will it be too late?

The most amazing part of this is that you think a party led by Barack Obama in the past and Hillary Clinton in the future should be described with the word centrist.
