Ginsburg's last wish was to 'not be replaced until a new president is installed': report

Your concession is noted have a nice day.
yes lock people up for not committing a crime.

Your agreement with me that kavanaugh is a rapey drunk who should be impeached and removed is greatly appreciated. Thx.

True story. That's why progressives have started multiple groups to get money out of politics, and have pressured candidates not to accept any corporate funding. What have conservatives done to get corruption out of politics? Elect Trump? *snicker*

Ginsburg also didn't like the idea of expanding or packing the Court.
"Well, if anything would make the court appear partisan then it would be that, one side saying, "When we're in power we're going to enlarge the number of judges so we'll have more people who will vote the way we want them to."
So many Ginsberg quotes.
What to do what to do.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the prosecution rests.

I appreciate that I've made my case. I've successfully argued that Republicans will steamroll government and all semblance of civilized society if Dems don't leverage every advantage to secure their gains when they attain sufficient power. Don't hide your hands after throwing rocks the house windows, fella. Republicans waged this war when they transitioned away from being a political party and into vehicle for special interests and overt corruption. FDR's accomplishments are still under attack many decades later, but Republicans can't unravel them without destroying themselves politically. Dems need to implement far more of these policies and then let Republicans try to take them away.

Republicans cannot win elections on a policy agenda. They have solutions for nothing.

.

Fat chance, Mitch McConnell will show his hypocrisy and Lindsey Graham will show himself to be a liar,
Why is it that liberals/progressives always want conservatives to waive their rights/responsibilities when exercising those rights/responsibilities will result in actions/conclusions they don't support. Liberals/progressives have zero interest in protecting the rights/responsibilities of anyone who isn't a follower of their prime directives.

As McConnell has said, in 2016 the Senate followed the long standing tradition of not consenting to an appointment to the Supreme Court from a President of the opposite party. That's not the case this time - the Senate and the Presidency are currently controlled by the same party.

As has been said many times in the past - elections have consequences - one of those consequences is the appointment of Supreme Court Justices - since 2016, the American people have strengthened the Republican's control of the Senate, largely because they wanted this president to appoint conservative leaning justices.

Also as has been said - so sad, too bad - liberals/progressives need to get over themselves and maybe look to nominating candidates that Americans will elect and not just candidates who meet their prime directive needs.

Its tragic that at the end of this day all this comes down to is the abortion battle and people REALLY should face reality...abortion will NEVER BE BANNED. If the court balance was 8-1 it wouldnt make a difference.

Correct. The rich will always have access to abortion (e.g. Trump and Falwell's many mistresses).

You don't actually believe that and are simply regurgitating McConnell's talking points. McConnell is moving the goalpost and literally no one buys it, least of all McConnell.

What ifs are irrelevant. We have the show of hypocrisy right here, right now. What dems would have done is completely irrelevant.

When the topic is hypocrisy, Dems are always relevant.

"Dems need to implement far more of these policies and then let Republicans try to take them away." Exactly why it is so important to re-elect Trump, warts and all...

Is that why Obama and Sleepy Joe bailed on their promise to codify Roe when they had the house and senate? Not a priority said Obama after winning in 2008.
Will a Biden be asked why in the debate coming up? Will he be asked anything?

Of course they are. Dems are punished for their hypocrisy whereas Republicans bathe in hypocrisy and their base loves them for it. The moral of the story is that Republicans cannot be trusted to keep their word or adhere to any standards they set. They have no shame, nor does their voting base.

Since when are Dems “punished” for their hypocrisy? Look at Nancy Pelosi. Dems are the biggest proponents of shut downs and masks, Pelosi violates both, and who do Dems fault? The salon owner.

Yes he was because there was never a trial to begin with.
Ford failed to file 1 legal motion to charge him with rape.
The constitution says that he is innocent until proven guilty.

So again facts say otherwise.

Can you show where in the constitution it says that? Further, a lack of a conviction does not mean someone should be selected for one of the most important jobs in the country, We should have a slightly higher standard for who we want in those jobs. No one has a constitutional right to be a Supreme Court justice. We should want the cleanest, most qualified, morally upstanding, people with the highest degree of integrity...

You'll note that I don't defend the Republicans, my former party. My point is that the Democrats largely brought this on themselves.

You'd be surprised how many people want Pelosi ejected from her position. Corporate Dems may love her, but progressives do not.

Dems brought it upon themselves through incompetence. Republicans brought it upon the Democrats through sheer malevolence.

I have done it before i see no need to do it again. So there you go.
Kavanaugh has a flawless record unlike some democrats that serve in congress.
So there you have it. The only people that made themselves out to look bad in that entire
debacle were the democrats.

Yep Kavanaugh fit that bill entirely. Your smear campaign failed.

When the topic is hypocrisy, Dems are always relevant.
When the topic is hypocrisy, republican actions show their true faces. The topic is actually what mcconnel did and what he will do. Dems respect the process much more which is why pelosi had to be forced to even hold an impeachment when she crushed the one against george bush before it even was considered.
