Re: Is This Fox News Piece For Real?

It's pretty strong, and pretty surprising !

I thought maybe it was a joke but now that I watched the whole thing....I think it's for real......FOX NEWS?????:confused:

(I'll start sweeping off the gallows!)

This says it was aired in May....I never heard of it?!?

I know, I watched it twice. I noticed the date too, I never heard of it before either.

Really strong opinions by the Judge, tho!

I think this deserves it's own ...better titled....thread

Have a mod change the title.

I don't think the Obama admin would ever prosecute Bush tho, do you think so?

Re: Is This Fox News Piece For Real?

so its all oh and ah when Napolitano accuses Bush

But in my thread where he accuses Obama he is dismissed

Do you realize his Book Constitutional Chaos chronicles all the violations committed by Bush i.e. Patriot Act, Rendition, ....

but he is just a partisan hack right. oh thats right nobody would actually address the threads point, that OBAMA LIED TO CONGRESS AND AMERICA

If he prosecutes Bush, he is next. Not going to happen, so you can pull your pants up and put the Vaseline away

It's the context and content, noone notices dog bites man, only the other way around

You did notice I commented on the surprising nature of the strong opinion?

And now that the judge shows more credibilty, you think he also may be right about his accusations about Obama? correct?

I enough evidence comes out of Feinsteins committee he will be forced to.

This topic relates to a Fox News video accusing GW Bush of being a felon. As the OP, I will not let it be derailed into yet another anti-Obama rant. Stay on topic or your continued derailment forum violations will be reported.

The importance here is quite obvious:
You have a conservative former Judge accusing GW Bush (& others in this regime) of felonies & war crimes.

Doesn't get much more serious than that!

Yeah, you're the "topic derailment" cop whenever it happens to suit you. Any other time . . .

Well, I know that this will come as a shock to my fellow conservatives here, but we are a nation of laws. If people in the Bush administration incontrovertibly broke those laws knowingly, then they MUST be brought to trial. the Presidential seal is no shield against prosecution.

No the question I have is would Obama do the right thing and pardon him before it became a national consuming scandal.

Very good point. I imagine the following responses are going to be something like...

I agree with the first part of your statement but not the pardon part. I believe if Ford hadn't pardoned Nixon,,,& Nixon went to prison where he belonged, many of GW Bush's crimes might have been averted through fear of prosecution/imprisonment.

This is the United States of America & no one should be above the law. ........We elect Presidents...Not Kings

Ford rightly believed that we needed to put the Nixon bitterness behind us, and the way to do that is to issue a pardon. Now the only purpose to be served by placing a President in actual incarceration is purely born out of the worst kind of partisan hatred and rancor. Is that good for the country?

I understand Ford's stated motivation but I strongly disagree with it.
By pardoning Nixon (Which Nixon gladly accepted, btw) ...Ford set the precedent that future Presidents would be above the law & needn't be concerned with responsibility or facing punishment for almost any action they take.
I think that is a very dangerous precedent & wonder if many here would want the same thinking applied to President Obama??

I doubt they would.

And when you accuse the president of a crime, you had better have actualy evidence that a crime has been committed.

Two points:

1. Why would accusing the President require more proof/courage than accusing any other citizen? (Is a President above the law?)

2. Watch the video

I never said that accusing the president requires more prrof than accusing any other citizen. But, one has to have real proof, just the same, which you, nor anyone else, has.

Did you watch the video?

So...I take it you wouldn't object to an investigation of whether or not Bush did violate the law? (to provide proof of his innocence, of course)

I don't have a problem with it. What's going to be your probable cause?
