I'm not the one who can't decide what side I'm on. 8)

Please do. Her and the rest of the Commies like Castro [D]

There is a huge difference between communism and socialism. Buy a dictionary. Turn down the original Fake News. It's rotting your brain.

Accuracy in reporting by asking a silly hypothetical question on basically a round table chat program? If she had said AOC was going to run, you might have a point.

No one at that table seemed to care to mention that she's too young...

So what? Juan Williams, no conservative, said nothing about it either. Sounds like it was just a snarky question and the responses were similar.

Nope. You take that back! The gay frogs were making him say those things.

Castro is probably less extreme than Sanders. It seems that Beta O'Rourke has cannibalized Castro's base. I don't see Castro's declared 2020 candidacy getting off the ground.

Silly question is absolutely right. I can't count the times I've heard people whine about this "silly little slip of a girl," "only 29 years old," "come back when you grow up," blah blah blah.

Bull**** they didn't think about she was old enough. Just stirring the pot. All they can do, too, because they certainly have no ingredients to add in.

She's actually pretty hot!

Then I'm glad we agree that this segment had absolutely nothing to do with accuracy in reporting.

Again, that's just an OPINION of a reporter. Means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! That article doesn't mention a single politician who wants to change the Constitution. Dem circles? lol...

When you have something concrete about someone, anyone with any real say(not an opinion of reporters no one ever heard of) wanting to change the age requirement in the Constitution, post it...

Comes from the top.. Their Con media's been lying and saying stupid thing for 20+ years.. Trump's been doing it for 2-3 years, daily..

It's like they want to be lied to, they want to be conned.

What they need is their "follower rewards".

If they admit to themselves they've been had, those pleasurable chemicals go away.

Replaced with anxiety. About not having a leader and about their ability to pick someone good to follow.

Human being never like admitting they've been fooled.

Which is apparently how modern conservatism survives.

He declared yesterday.

The Castro brothers are tied to La Raza/Mencha [mother was a founding member] and have been associated with CPUSA in the past.

If a mocking segment, a very good mocking segment. Otherwise they are really really stupid.

Fox News Frets Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Could Enter 2020 Race

For the Democratic nomination in 2020 it's much too early to speculate. Unlike this time right after the 2014 midterms when everyone worth their political salt knew Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic nominee for 2016. As to whom, I haven't the faintest idea. I'm fairly certain it won't be Biden, Sanders or Hillary Clinton. The Democratic nomination is up for grabs. This time 4 years ago, 2 years out, all the political pundits were focusing on a Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton match up for 2016.

Unless something changes with the independent voter, it may not matter much whom the Democrats nominate. Trump through his obnoxious, uncouth, raunchy personality and his very unpresidential behavior have lost a lot of independents who supported and voted for him in 2016. But most of that was an anti-Clinton vote, not necessarily for Trump. He just happened to be the candidate they least wanted to lose. Keep that in mind, nominating another candidate in which independents dislike more than Trump could mean a repeat of 2016. I don't think that will happen, but anything is possible. After all the Democrats did nominate about the only Democrat, alive or dead that could possibly lose to Trump. They could do it again in 2020.

I think one needs to remember Trump won independents 46-42 over Hillary Clinton with 12% voting third party. If one looks at these results, taking the 12% who voted third party, 54% of independents voted against Trump, 58% against Clinton. Remember 54% of all independents disliked and didn't want either candidate to become their next president. Independents today are giving Trump only a 32% favorable rating, much lower than the 40% they gave Trump on election day. Depending on whom the Democrats nominate, Trump might not come close to the 46% of the independent vote he received in 2016. You seen this independent voter dislike of Trump as their voted jumped from 42% for Democrat Hillary Clinton to 54% for Democratic congressional candidates in 2018.

As it stands today, 2020 is a presidential election for the Democrats to lose. But then again, so too was 2016. They lost that one. So my question is, have the democrats learned anything from 2016 or are they going to repeat their same mistake?

I said the idea is out there in Dem circles. It is. I showed you. I did not say any Dem politician has proposed it.

Ideas percolate. They do not suddenly appear ex nihilo as formal legislation submitted to Congress. They get talked about first. And it's being talked about.

Vox is influential in lefty thought. Matt Yglesias is, too, so just because YOU haven't heard of him, it doesn't mean "no one" has.
