For those who are OK with the bombing of Iran (or not), do you support regime change?

I have long believed the hardliners in Iran need to be removed from power. They have done nothing but cause strife and other issues since 1979. It's time for Iran to go back to secular government.

They Ayatollahs have no business being involved in government. They are de facto terroists that use the government to terrorize the population of Iran.
The people of Iran don’t seem to agree with your longing for the US backed dictatorship that ruled prior to 1979.

Yes, really. Any Muslim country can be peaceful for a time, but a core element of Islam is hatred of Jews and a mandate to kill every single Jew on earth.
Unfortunately for you, the historical facts clearly show that to be an utter falsehood.

The secular government that still had Islamist laws and used a secret police force to torture and murder Iranians for wanting democracy?

OK, you just keep plodding along clueless of the reality around you.
Once again.....the very existence of countries like Tunisia, who’ve spent their history basically just sitting there minding their own business, strongly shows how laughable your claims are.

Right now, it looks like it might would be closer to accurate to say that a core element of Judaism is hatred of Muslims and a mandate to kill every single Muslim on earth. But please, avoid these generalizations either way, as they are blatantly bigoted and lump every reasonable member of a religion in with the Smotriches and bin Ladens of the world.

You realize there are Jews living in Iran, right? Has the Iranian government killed all of them?

Same with Turkey, Morocco, and Tunisia. Have those countries killed all of their Jewish citizens?

Bear in mind everyone, @Ganondagan is such a hardcore Muslim hater that he openly stated in a thread that it is okay to kill Gazan civilians because they are Muslim. He supports murdering Muslims.

Not making a poll, but just looking for feedback.

I don't support the bombing. I don't think it was justified. This would not have happened if Israel didn't purposely go after Iran's nuclear program. Netanyahu finally found his American sucker president.

Tbh, I don't know how I feel about regime change. Will it solve anything or just create extended turmoil in the Middle East.

I can't say we've had good success at this "regime change" thing. I don't support it.

Thoughts?
It doesn’t matter who we want in control it only matters who Iranians want in charge. We need to mind our business

Now that this thread is almost a day old, I can tell you it was inspired by Trump suggesting regime change is possible after his underlings went on TV and said the US would not be pursuing it.

I support Israel's strikes against Iran. Israel will never be safe until the leadership of Iran and their ability to wage war against Israel is destroyed.

We don't have to have regime change as a goal. By the time Israel and the U.S. are finished pounding the sh*t out of Iran the citizens will change the regime on their own.

It's like you learned nothing from the past decades and how we ended up in Iraq.

The lesson that most of us learned is. Not to get involved in Middle East conflicts that have nothing to do with us. But you and Trump learned absolutely nothing.

Your idea that bombing a country will lead to peace with that country is absurd. Will you be shocked if some Iranian terrorist drops a dirty bomb in Israel? Will you be shocked if we see another 9/11. The weaker country tends to retaliate using guerrilla tactics. The stronger country calls it terrorism.

Of course, clueless Americans will insist these people hate us because they hate freedom. Not because we've been coming and killing them for decades.

Why should America fight so that Israel can keep expanding settlements in the occupied territories?

They are radicalized by their religion. The only time Muslim controlled countries have been peaceful is when they have been beaten militarily and the rest of the world keeps a heavy foot on their necks.

And that's how we ended up spending trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

There is nothing in Hebrew writings that gives Jews an eternal mandate to slaughter any communities. Islam does contain such a mandate to kill all Jews.

I don't care about peace with an Imam led Iran. Kill every last one of the genocidal Islamic ba**tards. Let a secular democratic Iran be run by a moderate form of Islam and the world could be safe.

So when Israelis claim the Bible gives them eternal ownership over the land of Palestine and they are allowed to use violence to maintain ownership of that land, they are lying?

Yes, you have made it clear that you support murdering Muslims.

Don't support the bombing. Our intelligence services were pretty clear that Iran was not actively working on a nuclear weapon. But our President in his infinite wisdom and clairvoyance decided that the intelligence professionals were wrong and he knew better.

Don't support regime change - our history with that is pretty terrible.

There is plenty to mandate killing nearby communities. Smotrich remembers a thing or two about Amelikites in Gaza. Problem is, when Israel believes in attacking anything near them, that's anything near Golan Heights, near the Syrian buffer zone, near the Lebanon (ahem) demilitarized zone, near the Philadelphi line, whatever. In the nuclear age, Iran is near them. And Malaysia ... not that far away.

I don't defend the average historical Muslim treatment of Jews, but just as Jews (and Christians) don't have to believe in killing all that pisseth against a wall, Muslims don't have to believe in genocide against Jews, or any mistreatment of Jews, either. While I would like to preach them a better religion, the problem with having a better religion is that you actually have to be good to do that, and that's kind of a sticky wicket.

Regime change to what?

Like Afghanistan, or Like Iraq, or like Vietnam. People often talk about regime change, but they never consider the other half of the statement

Those mandates are specific to times and places. They are not eternal mandates.

I see, let's just keep bombing the Middle East and support Israeli settlement expansion and Gaza ethnic cleansing, and we'll see a moderate form of Islam emerge? Is that what you believe?

The source of the problem is Israel's absolute refusal to stop expanding settlements in illegally occupied territories. You can't claim Israel and the U.S. want peace in the Middle East and be taken seriously. At the very least the U.S. should have pressured Israel into stopping the settlements and creating the two states.

If you still have no peace, then you can at least claim you tried.

I'd prefer peace in the Middle East but I'd settle for the deaths of every single member of Hamas, Hezbullah, Houthi rebels, and the entire government and military of Iran. See, I can be reasonable.

You are also cool with massacring millions of civilians in the process.

What you don't realize is that we helped create these groups, and we're just creating more such groups for future terrorist attacks.

Then, just as Israel had to send troops into Gaza, we'll have to send troops into Iran or wherever to retaliate for the next 9/11.

It's an endless cycle. The sooner you realize it's a pointless cycle, the sooner you can escape it.

I don't really care about regime change. People that would let someone run their country that sends thousands of bombs into Israel probably doesn't have the capacity to pick the right regime to run the country.

The only regime that I could accept is making the state a vassal.
