There is plenty to mandate killing nearby communities. Smotrich remembers a thing or two about Amelikites in Gaza. Problem is, when Israel believes in attacking anything
near them, that's anything near Golan Heights, near the Syrian buffer zone, near the Lebanon (ahem) demilitarized zone, near the Philadelphi line, whatever. In the nuclear age, Iran is near them. And Malaysia ... not that far away.
I don't defend the average historical Muslim treatment of Jews, but just as Jews (and Christians) don't
have to believe in killing all that
pisseth against a wall, Muslims don't have to believe in genocide against Jews, or any mistreatment of Jews, either. While I would like to preach them a better religion, the problem with having a better religion is that you actually have to be
good to do that, and that's kind of a sticky wicket.
