Feinstein : 'I Don't Know' of a Gun Law That Could Have Stopped Las Vegas Shooting

But this IS AMERICA...

So you keep your country disarmed..

And I will keep my country free.

What has having the facility to more easily kill each other in large numbers have to do with freedom ?

All I know is that these kind of massacres are not commonplace in any other country in the world. So, why? What makes the U.S. different?

More freedom than most. Want to give that up?

No gun nut as in over 35,000 + posts in praise of guns

so what does that make you given you don't even live here? I praise freedom, you hate it. fascist? control freak? wannabe dictator?

As ever. One gun per person, a ban on all second hand gun sales backed up by a comprehensive registration scheme

This isn't rocket science
I don't any of those would pass constitutional muster.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein told CBS "Face the Nation" no law would have stopped the Las Vegas shooter from killing 58 people and injuring more than 500 at a country music concert last week.

No law could have stopped Las Vegas shooter, Feinstein says

And thus all guns must be banned in her mind. As stated before...ambition must be created to counter act ambition. "I'm not for gun bans. Just gun control," will always turn into an incrementalist approach to gun bans.

Yes. What could is freedom if it means the freedom to die

Not having freedom is the same as dying. Do you realize we live in the least violent age in American history? And you want to give it up because of news reports.

Do you realize we live in the most violent first world country on earth?

Do you realize we live in the most violent first world country on earth?

you're lying because you pretend that Russia isn't a first world country. and if you get rid of four democrat controlled cities we are way down there

Only in the mind of a paranoid person

you prove he was right and you are lying. You constantly increase the number of restrictions you want on lawful gun owners.

Get rid of the crime....and we have very little crime! Brillant!! LOL

You are being completely paranoid...as usual...and you beliefs have no relation to reality

That's a bit misleading as you can see from this:

A new study reveals that nearly 70 percent of all the murders in the United States take place in 5 percent of the nation’s counties – and more than half of all homicides occur in just 2 percent of its counties.

According to statistics provided by the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), more than half of the counties in America registered no murders at all in 2014.

“In 2014 – the most recent year that a county level breakdown is available – 54 percent of counties (with 11 percent of the population) have no murders,” CPRC reported. “Sixty-nine percent of counties have no more than one murder, and about 20 percent of the population. These counties account for only 4 percent of all murders in the country.”
https://www.onenewsnow.com/culture/2017/04/30/68-of-us-murders-occur-in-5-of-its-counties

If you remove the statistic from those 5% of violent counties -- the other 95% of the US is a pretty darned safe place to live.

You are being completely paranoid...as usual...and you beliefs have no relation to reality

you're lying again

ITS JUST A FORM

oh then later-A LICENSE TO BUY AMMO and own guns

then you howled for REAL GUN CONTROL after you admitted you love gun bans in places like Japan.

oh and one of the leaders of your Obama regime is all about confiscation

Absolutely not. Handguns, rifles, and shotguns have all been the subject of someone's attempt to ban firearms already. It has already happened. This isn't paranoia. It is reality. It is delusion to think gun banners won't manipulate the masses of uneducated to push their agenda.

Tell me. Would you oppose an attempt to ban pump action shotguns? Or do you believe those belong on the list of banned firearms?

Yes actually. Do you realize we have one of the worst first world systems in handling addiction (alcohol and drugs both being major contributors to murder)? And that we do not have a great system for handling mental health disorders (not limited to and including psychopathy, borderline personality disorder, narcissism, impulse control issues [i think that is within personality disorder], emotional dysregulation, anger management, etc ad naseum)? And as YOU have correctly pointed out...these are already VERY difficult to treat as getting a patient to return for treatment is already tough...it is even harder when the bill can be astronomical as insurance does a piss poor job covering it.

Moving on to an area i am better educated on as well as more experienced in. Do you realize our education system does not do a good job at giving opportunities to young males who would otherwise become criminals? We do not have a good system to teach kids who role models are. They don't see them in their families, and they don't have great access in life either. They don't go to camps or places that keep them busy during time away from school...which is when the at risk kids are truly at risk. We have a cultural values problem with alcohol and drugs and family life and what hard work is too.

Yes. We have some violence. And it is a direct symptom of the above. And my proof of concept? How often do you see a violent middle class gun owning young man with no dysfunction in his personality or family or education or employment...result to violence or crime in general?

Yes I would oppose that ban and all other bans. We have the most lax gun laws of any first world nation. It is ridiculous

Except assault weapons right? You are for banning those right? What happens when people go on shooting sprees with pump actions? Like they have already done.
