what does that have to do with my comment? is this another case of you responding in a pavlovian sort of way and we get no substance, just drool?

You don't get to talk about fear when your gun experience is against paper son. Lol

how many times are you going to lie Vegas. I have shot a mugger. that means I have had more experience as an armed citizen carrying firearms in America than all the gun banners on this board combined, including you and Flogger

Easy son. I am talking about when the enemy shoots back. It takes no courage to be the shooter

you got that from watching "Saving Private Ryan" or "Platoon"

Some is us served.....abs some were too afraid. Which were you?

when I graduated HS in 77, we had Carter in the white house. NO wars and people were sick of the way the government wasted soldiers in the idiocy of VietNam. I was accepted at Yale and Amherst, I didn't need to go to military Trade school. IN 1980, the head of the US Army marksmanship unit offered me a position in the unit. Shortly thereafter I received acceptance at the first of the top law schools I applied to. So I called the ranking NCO and told him I had a letter of acceptance from Stanford and Cornell in my hand. He said "go to law school son-you have a lot better employment opportunities over a retired army skeet shooter". I suspect you went because you didn't have a better alternative. Real patriots don't whine the way you do

You don't get to talk about what real patriots do or don't do. Guess what...we have lawyers in the military too. You want to talk about the lack of courage you see in people who support gun control then your own record of your inability to stand up and serve your country comes into play. If you were too afraid to serve that is fine....but we get to judge you on it

what complete BS. that is disgusting nonsense. I don't even believe you served.

I don't care what you believe. But if you want to call people cowards you better be prepared to be judged in the same light

many gun banners are cowards. they are afraid of other people owning guns and they are afraid to make their own personal safety an individual duty. of course other gun banners are power hungry control freaks or just hard core lefties who want to harass NRA members for the way we vote (against hard core lefty gun banning politicians). Since you have never stated your age, we have no idea why you (allegedly) joined the military. Someone who volunteered for the Marines in 1968 is far different than someone who signed up in peacetime or for a branch of the service that had almost no chance of being in an active shooting environment.

and pretending you are better than those who had other options is just plain silly

Many people who did not serve are cowards. They rail about the constitution and freedom like they were hard core rangers when they were in reality to afraid to do their duty and serve their country. They say things like "I had better options" and (Cheney said this one) "I had more important things to do" and those comments are just a spit in the face of those that raised their right hand, got a haircut and stood a post. They love to project their cowardice onto others which is quite hilarious. Their bravery around paper targets is legendary. They have no right to stand in judgment of anyone and should be called out whenever they do

C'mon. You're not really questioning the committment of someone who joined the military because there hapened to be no war when they signed up? Like it's their fault their father served in wartime but they didn't?
Guy I grew up with's older brother joined the Marines and did a tour in Viet Nam. Canadian guy. What would his motivation have been? And there were lots more, too, and none was motivated by patriotism.

I know a lot of people for gun control.....and none are cowards

I don't have much use for someone who enlists to gain a trade acting as if they are Rambo and putting down those of us who had better career options in a peace time environment.

You want to call people cowards you better check your own record first

ok so they hate the NRA politically or they are ignorant and think gun control will actually work. many are cowards though. read A NATION OF COWARDS by Jeffrey Snyder. it illustrates the fear many gun haters have. the fear of accepting the RISK and responsibility of making their own safety a PERSONAL DUTY

you seem to labor under the delusion that people who didn't join up in the peacetime must be less brave than those who did. that's complete crap and you know it. and I am not afraid of my neighbors owning guns. You clearly are

Many who did not serve are cowards. They were terrified of a place where the enemy ACTUALLY SHOOTS BACK AT YOU. So they retreated to their world of suits and martinis and became warriors of the paper targets. They are in no position to judge anyone and must feel deep shame whenever they see a service member

I doubt you served. You are afraid of people owning guns. that is established.

You were afraid to serve. That is established

you are lying again. you must claim everyone on this board who didn't join the military was afraid to serve. you're just mad you couldn't get into a good college
