Feinstein : 'I Don't Know' of a Gun Law That Could Have Stopped Las Vegas Shooting

According to Mother Jones, mass shootings of 10+ victims have happened 15 times since 1982. That's over 35 years. Much less than every few weeks, unless few = 100 weeks where you're from. Dial back the hyperbole.

US Mass Shootings, 1982-2017: Data From Mother Jones’ Investigation – Mother Jones

Whole lotta 9s and 8s in there. You're missing the point, methinks intentionally.

Find me any other country not in a current state of war, adjusted for population, that has anything like this.

NOTE: There seem to be some notable exceptions from this list, such as if the shootings were split among locales.

This one, for example, didn't make the cut: Gunman in Texas mass shooting reportedly upset wife moved on - NY Daily News

Perhaps that is because there are no laws in place that could make us safer? You all must be proud of your complicity.

The last time that I checked, mass murder was illegal in all 50 states and the US territories. The problem appears to be that criminals simply lack respect for the law. Those that plan on killing themselves, after their record setting crimes, pose even more of a problem since even a sentence of being skinned alive may not be much of a deterrent.

that's a refreshingly honest comment from one of the worst liars on the gun issue in decades
Maybe a little to refreshingly honest. Best watch what the other hand is doing. If she ain't working some angle I'll be surprised.

I'm a gun owner with a concealed carry permit. Nice try, Douche-e.
And so say a lot of DEMS. in the U.S.house and senate. It's a talking point about how they are all for the Second Amendment. I've never seen on on the floor whip it out.(Insert sex joke here and giggle). In other words just because I type that I'm 'The Emperor of The Universe' don't Mean I am.

And you and countryboy appear to condone mass murders. Your sex toys , booze and penis don't interest me in the least.

Do you own a car? Forget the horrible, and shocking mass murders...those are for the weak minded that let the shock value overwhelm their thinking capabilities. They still dont add up to other dangers endemic in our nation.

If you really wanted to reduce fatalities in the US, you'd be demanding more Americans give up their cars and choose a differently lifestyle. Limit when, where, and how often cars could be driven. Restrict more people from driving.

Sound familiar?

And we dont 'need' our cars. Many western nations do just fine with fewer cars and using those less. It just requires better infrastructure and a shift in lifestyle...hey...isnt that worth it to save the 45,000 lives lost on our roads every year?

It's interesting that you bring up incidents in six different countries, that happened over the span of many years, when we have massacres in the U.S. (one country) on about a biweekly basis.

Nobody is claiming "this doesn't happen in other countries." But all the time? 10-50 people getting wiped off the face of the earth every few weeks in the U.S. is the New Normal. It's not like that anywhere else that isn't a war zone.

Hell, 9 people got shot to death at a football watching party in Texas a few weeks back and that was barely a blip.

Paris and Nice are in the same country. :lamo

There are 320 million people in The United States. How many people in those five countries, combined?

Don't care about auto deaths? You must be proud of your complicity.

Completely unable to refute any of it eh?

Somehow, no one ever takes us liberal gun owners seriously.....

Cars aren't manufactured to kill. Guns are.

Makes zero difference. The people are dead. That we find all those car-related deaths acceptable just because we like our cars and have built a lifestyle around their convenience has nothing to do with the fact that they cause a massive death toll every year, far higher than guns.

And yes, many Western nations use their cars much much less and have much lower death rates...so why not follow their models to reduce ours?

Cars aren't manufactured to kill. Guns are.

and that shows how stupid your argument is

Cars: not designed to "kill" actually kill more people through NEGLIGENT USE THAN GUNS do through intentional actions

see why your argument is so stupid?

No, but I see how stupid yours is.

really

so in your mind, a device not designed to kill is less dangerous than one that was even if the former kills more than the latter

so something that kills even without the intent do do so is less dangerous than one that almost always requires lethal intent?

Have a pleasant evening.

Really? You have to pull that stupid old meme out yer arse? Hehehe...saying, "your mom" would have been more adult. I am no more complicit to that tragedy than you are to date rape and child abuse when you have a beer. Most adults can see through that....

Laws can't make us safer. The people who pose a danger to us typically don't obey laws. Laws aren't supposed to keep us safe that's not its function it's to establish guidelines for which to live by

Then why is there a law that says I have to show my passport to get in this country?
