Fear! Is that was drives you?

Says the crowd that fears a successful America.

It really depends on your definition of "successful".

If you call being successful being rich for the top 1%, then you are right. The United States is the place to be!

Nonetheless, if you are not in the top 1% and happiness for you and your family takes the top spot on your list, then the U.S. is not the place to be. There are 17 other countries more successful at happiness than the U.S.

10 Happiest Countries in the World, Ranked

1. Finland
For the third year in a row, Finland is number one when it comes to happiness. The country consistently ranks among the top education systems in the world, occasionally beaten out by countries like South Korea, Japan, and Singapore. Much of that educational success comes from a widespread reverence for teachers, who are required to have a master’s degree (state-funded), and a pedagogical system that focuses less on quantitative testing and more on experiential learning and equal opportunity.

Sorry to disappoint you but unlike you, I don't live in a fantasy world. I cannot see Trump get elected even if you get up and vote. Nonetheless, if he does get reelected it would be no surprise to me. I have always known that few people ever use their minds when deciding important things. It is all about fame, charisma, good looks that gets elected. That is the norm and not the exception.

It is like your bald-faced lie about saying perhaps you will vote for Trump to spite me. Is that the intelligent thing to do, vote because of spite?

You continue to prove my points.

How quickly we forget four years ago when Hillary didn't even bother writing a concession speech.

What points have you proved?
I think I must have missed them.

The party of OrangeManBad is calling the other side fearmongers?! I think my head just exploded.

I've been told for the last four years that Trump is an authoritarian dictator wannabe who will destroy the country. That Trump stole the last election by colluding with Russia and he will steal this one if given half a chance. That he was so bad that impeachment and removal from office was warranted.

Each day as we head closer to the election and Biden's lead starts to dwindle, I am smelling the left's fear that the election is slipping away from them....
Now they are trying a way to weasel out of the debates and even Biden said they must meet certain "conditions".

And of course all the rioting, looting, and firebombing is because of Trump. You can't make this stuff up.
The Democratic Party; the party of irresponsibility and poor leadership.

And there it is. The predictably defensive reaction that makes my point for me.

Notice that nota didn't try to deny what was said. She simply tried to swat it away with the latest failed attempt at nitpicking a trivial point so that she wouldn't have to face the much larger point.

She's a very apt student of ****er Carlson clearly....

Keep making this all about you, when my post was obviously not about you at all. I love it when my opponents provide a perfect example of a point I am trying to make. :)

Really? Someone else wrote this scathing babyish critique of Nota then?

Yeah, the side that is IN CHARGE and can make things happen. If the Democrats were in charge, I would be criticizing them.

This is all about making the change for better in November.
Actually leftists dems are in charge of. Any cities where rioting and fear mongering is happening, and they let it happen.

Spin it any way you want. The president is Republican and the Senate is Republican. That is what counts.

Um, no, he is limited in what he can do about these fear mongering rioters, leftists Mayer’s and governors do not want him bring law and order, they say keep out. Why? Because they are using fear.

If he is limited in what he can do, more so are the Mayors and Governors of those states. Everyone has to follow the laws that apply. Trump has not always followed the laws whereas the Mayors and Governors have, if for no other reason that they cannot ignore them. Trump is not supposed to ignore them but has on several occasions and then daring people to take him to court to fight it, which they are doing but then of course, everything through the courts take years to get resolved and he knows that.

So far, Trump and his administration are the only ones being taken to court. I have not seen any Mayors or Governors being taken to court by Trump and his administration. I wonder why, given that Trump loves taking people to court? Could it be that the Mayors and Governors are not doing anything illegal but Trump is, and is the reason he is being taken to court? He has already lost 3 Supreme Court Decisions, did you know that? and that is with his hand-picked stooges in Kavanaugh and Gorshuch. I guess even they, cannot blatantly break the law, can they?

You really have a problem, simpleT. You have no case for what you say but that never stops you from trying to excuse Trump. The problem you have is that I have the truth and facts behind my arguments. All you have is BS.

Obama was slapped down by the SCOTUS several times, as probably most presidents have. That is a red herring.

The Mayer’s don’t have to be breaking the law to refuse to enforce it and give riots free reign, mwhich they have done, even some openly saying give them some “space”.

This isn’t opinion, it happened right before our eyes.

Get back to me, Humble Pi, when you are able to see me as a unique individual rather than part of a group of "you's."

On second thought, don't get back to me. You have no respect for people whose opinions you don't share, and you mock people of faith. Never mind that you've woefully mischaracterized me and my beliefs and opinions, right down to being unaware of what I've posted about the pandemic. You just make stuff up to fit your pre-packaged judgments, and your comments are deeply and personally offensive. I don't deserve to be talked to this way.

Correction, I have ZERO respect for ANYONE that supports and enables this son of a bitch. Are we clear yet? You and other 'good Christians' and the mockery you're making of 'faith' is not at all what REAL Christianity teaches.

Thank you. I'm sure you know all about "REAL Christianity."

And now you are grouping all protesters together so please don't lecture me about that particular thing in the future. Thank you.

Not so interestingly, you don't seem to understand the difference between "particular" and "general." I offered a specific example and also said that "Menacing others isn't peaceful protest." <<< This distinguishes between peaceful protestors and those who menace and frighten others.

Are you even daring to suggest that I do not?

Oh, no. Absolutely not. I wouldn't dare. I am certain that you are both a REAL and a TRUE Christian, and so I will depend on you to explain everything to me.

Even a blind person could read your ridicule and sarcasm. You have no ****ing clue who I am or what kind of Christian I am, but your type likes to judge others. Take a look inside yourself before you pass judgement on me or anyone else. A real followed of Jesus Christ doesn't have to prove to anyone what their faith is, they live it, not preach or brag about it. People that are sanctimonious and profess to be 'holier than thou' are usually heretics.

No, not fear but faith.

What is that supposed to mean? Do you have faith that some evil leftist boogeymen is out to harm Republicans, especially if Biden is elected?

Instilling fear is what Trump is all about.

Donald Trump and the Politics of Fear - The Atlantic

He once before said that "power was about instilling fear"

As such, my question for all of you "Is fear what drives you?"

Do you believe fear is what makes a person worthwhile? a reason to progress? A reason to improve? or is fear something that draws you down, that makes you less that what you want to be, that is not a basis for being better than you are?

Fear is what Trump pushes

Fear of the Democrats
Fear of the Chinese
Fear of the Mexicans
Fear of immigrants
Fear of protests against injustice
Fear of the media
Fear of change
Fear of science
Fear of socialism
Fear of the unknown
Fear of difference of opinion

Is fear was makes you do things? Otherwise, you would not try to become a better person?

Why don't you become a better person and stop labeling?

Your thread is crap, and you made it just to entice people.

You mean to tell me that showing what Trump is doing and saying is labeling?

By the way, labeling means calling someone something. Show me were in this OP I am saying Trump is this or that? You will not find it anywhere because I have not put any labels in this OP.

As far as the thread being crap, if you call crap something we all do once or twice a day, then is must be crap. by the way, I have never seen crap entice people.

Is this the best you can do? this is not even as good as a first grader in kindergarten can do.

I suppose "Ladies present!" is archaic, but I don't find gratuitous vulgarity persuasive at all. Beyond that, I cannot even believe how many times the "Grab 'em" misquote has been quoted here at DP. It got stale over three years ago.

I doubt it's stale memory to all those women he sexually assaulted, no matter how many years have passed. I was assaulted by a priest when I was 23 years old and it's still very clear in my mind. A priest felt he had the right to molest a woman because his collar gave him the authority, just as Trump's wealth and privilege made him feel he had the same right to freely assault women and suffer no consequences.

We have nothing to fear as long as we don't give power to the radical left. If that happens, then we should fear for our wealth, our freedom and our very lives in some cases.

I don't think the majority of Americans these days are very concerned about losing their 'wealth'. Speaking of freedom, where was the freedom of these black victims, those that were murdered this year alone and not even counting the scores of men murdered because of their skin color. Is freedom in this country only something that white people are allowed to have? And yes the last part of your sentence is the only factual part, they DO worry about their lives every single day. Mothers have to teach their little boys how to walk when they're around a police car. How NOT to dress so they won't be a target of a vigilante shooter. How they must not make eye contact with a cop because that would be considered 'threatening' by the cop.

You need to get out in the world more and understand that the majority of people in this country do not fit inside the parameters of your safe and comfortable white existence.
