Fear! Is that was drives you?

The RNC - speakers and video

Evidently. And it hasn't even caused me to be gratuitously vulgar when I post either.

Sorry about that. I do need to be graphic here. No one seems to acknowledge subtlety. It does not seem to register. I do what I need to do to make a point. I am not vulgar by nature. I am a fighter though (contrary to most Democrats).

You are sowing fear yourself. What every person should do is not see what others are doing but do yourself what you expect others to do. Be a role model person for what you dislike and fear in others. All changes start within us. How can we expect others to be what we want them to be if we can't be that ourselves first?

Being aware of evil is not fear, it's prudent.

Instilling fear is what Trump is all about.

Fear is our primary motivator. This is simple fact. Trump using fear is what got him to the presidency.

Trump is not dumb just not interested in his job.

You fail to realize that evil and good are the normal state of life. We are always fighting evil but the way to fight it is to be good! to be better than them! To show them how it should be done. Criticizing them and fearing them means we are losing and becoming like them.

Yes, we need to be aware of evil but not to fight evil as they will always exist but as a lesson of what we ourselves should not do. Have you not already learned in your life that blame and criticism never solves anything? It is being different that wins the battles. It is being a role model that works, not pointing to evil as everyone should know already what evil is. We need to show how to be good and that needs to start within us.

Me being good doesn't stop anyone from being evil. Would you oppose or stop evil directed at your family, I would hope so. Evil takes many forms, pure physical violence, evil practices, thoughts being pushed on the innocent. Is pushing Drag Queen practices on toddlers evil? Not to a depraved mind. Scum people prey on easy weak targets. Even evil scum fears righteous force aimed at them.

hell, Rush Limbaugh figured that out decades and decades ago.

Evil has existed since the beginning of time and will exist until the end of time. It cannot be obliterated as it exists in all of all the time. As such, fighting it is a losing battle. The way to win the war is to have more good people than bad and that means being a role model and getting others that are on the fence, Listen to the angel and not the devil and convince others to do the same. We all have both within us. Blaming the devil will only bring more devils to the game. Lauding the angel, will bring other angels to the game. That is what needs to be done so that there are more good people on earth than bad ones.

When have you ever been successful in bringing out the angel in someone if your are giving the devil ammunition.

AS far as your statement about evil being directed at your family. What you need to do is protect yourself by trying to be around more good people than bad. If you stimulate the bad in people, more will show up at your door since vengeance is a popular thing among evil people and your posts are so attacking that you will stimulate the same against you.

What is a bad for all of us is misinformation and an inability to discern who it bad and who is good. How can you do that? Easy, good people talk love, understanding and giving. Bad people talk hate, blame, and vengeance.

I suppose "Ladies present!" is archaic, but I don't find gratuitous vulgarity persuasive at all. Beyond that, I cannot even believe how many times the "Grab 'em" misquote has been quoted here at DP. It got stale over three years ago.

You also need to consider that the man you support (Trump) has set the rules of the game and if there is anyone that is about a vulgar as it can get, it is him. He is the one that said "grab them by the *****" and I can show you many other things he has said "and done" that are about as vulgar as it gets. In fact, I believe it is his ability to "say it as it is and not politically correct" that got him elected and given that he believes anyone that disagrees with him is a piece of ****, I would say he is the king of vulgar.

Are you in reality?

Are you in reality?

Yes, Aurora, I am in reality. Nonetheless, I don't believe you are ready to understand what life is all about, what humanity is all about, and how we all play a part in what happens to us and to our nation.

As such, I am going to stop trying to explain it to you. When you have an open mind, let me know and I will explain it more to you. Based on this reply of yours, this is not the right time for you yet. Your mind is closed and information never enters a closed mind.

You can be Mr. nice guy all you want , that will not deter evil from doing you or anyone else in. You can live a good life, but others don't follow those rules.

Trump's fear does not drive me. Once you see it's all pure lies, no fear at all.

We have nothing to fear as long as we don't give power to the radical left. If that happens, then we should fear for our wealth, our freedom and our very lives in some cases.

Let me give you something I believe 100% in. If you think about it, I believe it will help you with everything in life.

I believe in God and I also believe in a form of heaven and hell, though not necessarily in a physical way.

I believe God puts us on earth to suffer as only through suffering can lessons be learned and God's goal is to make us better people and we all need to learn what is valuable and what is not. As such, normally pain is our life but when we do something right (when we learn a lesson), he gives us a respite from pain. He gives us moments of happiness.

I also believe our soul lives many lives and it is up to us (we decide) whether we become better people or worse with the end result is hell or heaven (forever suffering or forever happiness.............after all the lessons have been learned).

Evil is part of life, in fact an important part of life as we need to learn what it is and how to be better for it (rather than join and be worse for the experience).

To understand evil you must first understand yourself as all of us have evil and good inside of us (we are not perfect). By understanding evil, you learn to fight it successfully (if "good" winning is your goal) and by doing so, you have learned one of the lessons that God wants us to learn. You don't run away from evil, you don't ignore it, and you don't complain about it. You understand it and know that it will always be with you and therefore once you do that, it is no longer a pain but a normal thing that needs to be addressed and learned how to overcome, just like everything else in life.

Just remember that evil and good is in all of us. We are the ones that decide which of the two will win in ourselves.

Once you do that, you understand everyone else (Democrats, Republicans, Independents etc). When you understand who you are and the battle we all fight within ourselves, you will understand what others are going through (the same battle as you are going through) and suddenly you are no longer angry and hateful but a source for betterment.

You have to rule your spirits. Allowing evil to act out is what people are doing in the streets. Burning and looting. Their pathetic emotions act out. They understand nothing but force.
There comes a point where god will turn you over to a reprobate mind. Rom 1

Instilling fear is what Trump is all about.

Donald Trump and the Politics of Fear - The Atlantic

He once before said that "power was about instilling fear"

As such, my question for all of you "Is fear what drives you?"

Do you believe fear is what makes a person worthwhile? a reason to progress? A reason to improve? or is fear something that draws you down, that makes you less that what you want to be, that is not a basis for being better than you are?

Fear is what Trump pushes

Fear of the Democrats
Fear of the Chinese
Fear of the Mexicans
Fear of immigrants
Fear of protests against injustice
Fear of the media
Fear of change
Fear of science
Fear of socialism
Fear of the unknown
Fear of difference of opinion

Is fear was makes you do things? Otherwise, you would not try to become a better person?
And you guys just fear:

TRUMP!!

It very much is. I have little control over what others think or do, and especially in this time of COVID and "hunkering down," I'm keeping my focus on my family and on my work for a charitable org. Writing radio spots this morning while waiting to learn whether my family member at the ER has a sprained or broken ankle. Pipe exploded in my bathroom Saturday, and plumber found wood ants under the house, so I'm about to call the exterminator. Watching Hurricane Laura. BFF has already evacuated from the coast. Real life, you know. ;)

OK, that was a good answer. Hope your family member is alright.

OK, that was a good answer. Hope your family member is alright.

Doctor said it was a fracture; x-rays said not. In a boot with an inflatable thingie and doing okay for somebody who had emergency surgery that included having to break her jaw just 7 days ago. We're joking that now her face and body match. Thank you for the well-wishes.

No one will be safe in a Biden presidency

In a rambling speech last night, once again Trump used fear to stimulate American to vote for him and not for Biden.

Calling Biden, the former vice president, "weak" and suggesting he is a pawn for the progressive wing of his party despite evidence to the contrary, Trump said the Democratic contender would undermine constitutional protections, embolden "mob rule" and "be the destroyer of American greatness."

"If the left gains power, they will demolish the suburbs, confiscate your guns and appoint justices who will wipe away your Second Amendment and other constitutional freedoms," Trump said in a wide-ranging speech long on exaggerated claims and fear-mongering. He also claimed he responded decisively to the threat of coronavirus despite criticisms of his administration's response and more than 180,000 deaths caused by the virus to date in the U.S.

Its funny because much of what he said is happening right now "under his watch".

Fear, fear, fear is all you get from Trump. Nonetheless, his actions show no fear (and certainly no protective measures) when it comes to what benefits him, such as last nights acceptance speech where no one that attended were required to get tested for corona virus but they were all crowded in and few masks were worn.

Trump's speech in the White House Rose Garden that capped the second night of the Republican National Convention were not required to get tested for coronavirus, a person who attended the speech told CNN.

Acceptancespeech.jpg

If you don't protect your OWN people from catching the virus, how can you protect the nation from anything.

This is the perfect case of a con man manipulating his base to do as he wants.

The worst part of all of this, is that over 30 million people (his base) believe this con man. Unbelievable!

Try to follow along please. The OP asked "Is fear was makes you do things?" I answered. You seem to be confusing the singular and the plural. You surely aren't presuming to tell me, a stranger, why I live my life as I do...are you?

What we wonder nota is how people who claim to have faith in god can be so cruel towards others. People who call themselves christians, like marke, are some of the worst offenders spitting out their hatred all over the place. Look at the people who are against abortion, they're always accusing others of murder and doing their best to impose laws against abortion. Most on the right absolutely hate the democrats, very godly, no? I wouldn't mind people claiming faith if they actually led the life, most don't.

Lol, fear drives me so much I don't own a firearm. The gop has been selling fear to their base since reagan, and it works election after election. It's why the right hates democrats, they've been taught to hate them for decades. What else is the purpose of the fear the gop sells?

The dems are going to tell you what car you can drive, how many hamburgers you can eat and biden will be the destroyer of america. Fear, get ya' some today.

You are utterly blind f you don’t think both sides use fear, and anything else that will get votes and power. Fear of boogie man white supremacists, rampaging murdering cops, eminent world collapse and destruction from climate Change (we have 12 years left they say), women hating patriarchs talking their rights away, mass killers around every corner, take the guns, etc etc etc.
