The police openly tried to set him up to be killed, blocking all address and contact information for witnesses, but Zimmerman's address and phone number released including then to the mob and to those making death threats. Media talking heads, politicians and now the spokesperson for the Justice Department - selecting an African-American woman - has declared Zimmerman guilty, that he engaged in a race-hate crime and in presenting why notably excluded even mentioning the ONLY eye witness says it was Zimmerman down on the ground with Martin over him - instead the Justice Department spokesperson declaring Zimmerman ran Martin down and shot him.
Zimmerman is a nobody, an average intelligence at best guy who got too deeply into opposing crime and mistakenly believing people should give a damn about others in their neighborhood. There is no good end for this out of Zimmerman. They can get him killed in jail awaiting trial, or beaten and raped in jail until he agrees to plea out. If he lives to make it to jail. He will get the crappiest possible appointed lawyer who really doesn't work for him, only the government.
Before there is a warrant for his arrest he should quickly make is plan, sell his truck fast if he can, gather all his pennies, and make a run for it. When you are a nobody and a major political party, every federal appointee whose job depends on the White House remaining Democrat and it to their advantage to crushing you as their political tool, the police are setting up for a lynch mob and those making death threats, and the political Justice Department openly distorting and hiding evidence for the goal of stirring up universal national hatred for you, you ain't got a chance.

That's not what trials are for. That's for a grand jury or the prosecutors office, after the police have gathered the evidence and established that they believe a crime has been committed.

Zimmerman has no legal obligation to stick around and if he leaves there is nothing negative against him in doing so. Due to death threats and police releasing his address and phone number, he would be rational to do so. He should just legally disappear until after the November election so he can not be used the Obama Justice Department in the swing state of Florida.
This also would reduce the amount of them he was in jail while prosecutors and his crappy appointed attorney "prepare the case" if a warrant is issued. A warrant issued after he vanishes doesn't mean he jumped bail and a person has no duty to turn himself in - meaning it not illegal. In short, he has to decide if he want to sit in jail or be out of jail but in legal hiding. I would pick legally hiding than being in jail when the Media, Justice Department and then in toe-step tens of millions of people are raging hatred and calling for revenge against me.
