The only way I know how to do it is to email it to myself. Is there an easier way?

Depending on the phone, there are applications that allow a quick Sync through USB....but for individual photos, emailing is the easiest approach.

If you have Chrome and a google account that you also use on your phone, you can click on something to print, and select under destination your phone from the list. It will then sync it to your phone.

Bluetooth?

Hardwire connection - there's usually a directory for images on a phone.

At least with an Android-based phone, I've found DropBox to be very useful for this. It can be configured so that every picture that you take with your phone automatically gets transferred to any other device you have linked to your DropBox account.

DropBox is the best. I've used it on the iDon't and my Droid. It even has an auto upload function for pictures. I use the auto upload function so my wife can download all those cute pictures of the mini me.

A million Likes!!! That's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. Downloaded it. Works great!!!

Thank you so much!!!!! (Glad you've "been around a while" -- since I absolutely trusted your recommendation and just did it.)

Mini-you.

Thanks a million!

That's the only method I know... and I learned that from my 12 year old nephew!

Come back and look!! Dropbox is awesome . . . assuming you have an Android.

Thanks again, you guys. It's set to automatically upload every photo I take. Just fabulous!!!

I read all of these posts MaggieD.
You are amazing at presenting questions that cause you and others to learn.

I would also like to compliment Bob Blaylock, not just because of his knowledge, but mostly because he made you happy .

Awww, Nimby, you're just way to sweet. *hugs*

Okay man- I want to know who took over the spirit of Nimby.

I use DropBox. I use a USB cable. I WOULD use OneDrive...except it doesn't seem to be compatible with my phone - maybe because I'm too cheap to get a better phone. I'm using Android 2.2.2.

DropBox - It can eat up cell usage if you are on a limited plan. Can eat up the battery charge. Alternatively, you can set it up to sync when you want it to...say, when you have a wifi connection handy.

USB cable - There really is no downside except for the physical connection to your computer. Essentially acts like your phone is just another drive. Moving and copying files is faster than using DropBox.

OneDrive - Like I said, I can't use it on my phone but it seems to be an OK cloud service on my PC. I've read about some issues with it, though...such as not being able to turn off sync after it's been enabled which results in massive battery drain on your phone.

I've never used it, but I think Google has some kind of sync feature with their cloud service.

One other thing I like about DropBox...and I think OneDrive has something like it...is the "shared folder". I set one up to share with my sons. Stuff I put in there is immediately accessible by them and vice versa. It is essentially a cloud drive that we can all access...add to, delete from, etc.

To answer, I still love to learn at 60-YOA, and this thread taught me things I didn't know, thanks to MaggieD's great OP and Bob's response..

I get to standardized test tutor in a few hours from now for HS students.

I have an alter ego named Linc, in honor of A. Lincoln, but also to honor the best of TR and IKE, my three personal heroes.
When Linc takes over, I'm usually on my game.

I'm proud to admit that NIMBY's persona on dp was "messaged" a bit the last two days by the appropriate people and for the better .
Okay man- I want to know who took over the spirit of Nimby.

You can also just plug your phone into your computer's USB slot and you'll be able to read it like a flash drive.
