Drew Brees - Ignorant about black issues

Yes. Bucky seemed to be saying that Brees was racist becasue he found it disrespectful to kneel during the anthem.

That, in my opinion, is the most American thing anyone could possibly say on the subject. Our ancestors didn't die for a flag or a song, they died for what they represent. A country whose citizens are free to protest and petition the government for a redress of grievances, even if they disrespect the nation's symbols while doing so. (Note I'm not talking about destroying national monuments and such, just burning a piece of cloth that belongs to them or not maintaining the expected posture during a song.) I would not take pleasure in seeing Americans burn the American flag, but it would make me proud knowing that they aren't going to be hauled off to some dungeon as "political enemies" like they would in some other places. What a great country!

The stupid **** bitch Laura Ingraham agrees with Drew Brees. If I am on the opposite end of this hypocritical parasite, that is a good thing.
 
There was nothing wrong with what Brees said.. And because it was a peaceful protest that is GUARANTEED by our Constitution there was nothing wrong with Kaeparnick kneeling either..

Sometimes both sides can be right.

Brees almost got himself Kapernick'ed. There's a mindless mob that will hate you if you kneel during the anthem to protest racism, and another mob if you don't kneel to protest kneeling. If you piss either side off they will go into full terminator mode and work ceaselessly to destroy you.

And guess what? The sane people still don't give a ****. They're not here to hear your political opinions. They came to watch you play football. Or they will if we ever have football again.
 
I never had a problem with Kap kneeling and protesting in a peaceful manner. The Flag stands for ALL Americans, not just the military.. And oh BTW the US does do things wrong sometimes. People who think this country is never wrong do more harm than good.

BUT I also never had a problem with people who calmly, and in a civil grown-up manner disagreed with Kaepernick. So I have no problem with what Brees said.

I do have a problem with the morons who called Kaepernick and others who peacefully protested 'son of a bitches', and wanted them thrown out of the country or whatever. And yes I have a problem with the morons running around looting and rioting. It didn't make sense to me in the 60's and 70's when they burnt down their own neighbors then, nor does it make sense now.

See both sides can be right, and wrong..

He didn't say anything wrong either... there is more than one topic on this issue... too many people are narrow minded and focused on BLM only... anything that deviates from that is seen as a threat. Brees was fine to talk about the Flag issue... All Lives Matter is also something that can be discussed. I just think that black people (in general) and Liberals are jumping on this issue in such a dramatic way because something like this comes along so infrequently (people listening and caring) for black people. And they are right... but they should not be trying to silence or shame others that are not focusing on the Floyd/BLM issue as strongly as they are.

Saying “all lives matter” directly disregards the fact that right now (and for a long time) Black lives have continually not mattered in the eyes of the people in charge.

It is such an insulting saying and causes a lot of pain to people of color.

That is one way to look at it... another is that saying All Lives Matter unifies everybody to a common cause.

When have white lives in this country did not matter?

There are a lot more Jake Fromm's in this country than you think. This is a big wakeup call for this country.

White people are not entitled to victim hood simply because they are white.

The other side of the coin is when people do peacefully protest an issue those people shouldn't be called 'sons of a bitches', and told to leave the country. In other words it was also fine for Kaepernik, and others to kneel without being called names, silenced, and blackballed.

Women are abused and killed. Children are abused and killed. Men are killed... And the victims are from all races.

Muslim women in many countries are treated FAR WORSE than black people in America... no world wide protests about that though...
