I know plenty of you are going to come into this thread thinking, "who cares if he's a good person, its about whether he could be a good President." If that's how you feel, okay, I respect that, but that's not the question here. The topic is whether he is or is not a good person. I was just really curious, because I haven't seen this question addressed seriously before, though I admit I haven't been on DP very much this election season.

If the guy is a scumbag then what makes people think he won't be a scumbag president?
So, we're believing the estranged ex-wife of someone without any other proof besides her word? What is this, Judge Judy? Even she asks for witnesses!depends on if you are ok with a person asking for an open marriage to please a 3rd party women....
I'm not sure, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Let's have all the politicians who've never cheated on their wives stand up. What? Everybody left the room? It's unfortunate, but true. There is something about the power men feel when they are in politics that transfers to their johnson. He's probably no better or worse than any of the rest of them...except that he's older and, I really think he's seen the light.
Clinton was pretty good...
One question for you........Is it POSSIBLE to have a good administrator/leader who isn't an overall "good person" as you've put it? Just curious.I know plenty of you are going to come into this thread thinking, "who cares if he's a good person, its about whether he could be a good President." He's a hypocritical, petty, vindictive, sanctimonious son of a bitch. But at least he can keep a straight face when he lies to us about loving this country; if the President tried it, he'd damned well catch fire.
Thats a matter of opinion.
Clinton signed anti-2nd amendment legislation. Its also because of Clinton why companies were allowed to outsource left and right to china and other countries thus destroying a lot of American jobs.

No, I do not think he is a good person at all. But, I don't think he is an evil person either. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being evil and 10 being good, I'd rate him about a 2.5 or 3.I know plenty of you are going to come into this thread thinking, "who cares if he's a good person, its about whether he could be a good President." IMO, the ONLY reason he is so "honest" and forthcoming is because his transgressions over the years are so many, and so glaring, and so indisputable, that he has no choice but to try and be "honest" as a strategy of damage control.I think Newt has made mistakes that he acknowledges and is honest about, but I don't think he's a "bad" person.
