I voted only in the case where the mother's life is at risk.
Navy Pride said:Wow, mark the day and time.....That is the first time we have agreed on anything.....
Caine said:Actually, I agree that Gays should get a right to a civil union as well.
Some extremely crazy religious people don't even agree they should be granted the financial/property/social benefits of a marriage, and state that they are God's reason for AIDS.
I love it how old religious men speak for a God.... If one even exhists.
Navy Pride said:You have radicals on both sides of any issue......I agree with you on Civil Unions and I think a good will could take care of the benefits you mentioned...
I am and old man but not that religeous but I do firmly believe their is a God and I hope you find that out before you die........
Remember the old saying.......There are no atheists in fox holes.....
Hey that is 2 things we have agreed on.........
Caine said:Its hard for an Agnostic like myself to believe there is actually a god when there is so much corruption within the church itself, and then you have crazies like Fallwel or however you spell it, making statements like that one about AIDS and homosexuality, as if God speaks to him. And Pat Robertson who makes all these requests for openings on the Supreme Court, why should religious people need the help of the government?
I agree with Ben Franklin on this one...
"When a Religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its Professors are obliged to call for help of the Civil Power [government], it is a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one."

I've had two friends who have gone through this procedure because their life was at risk. Now, both say they wish they would have died - one to spare her child and the other with her child. It's like they're living a cursed life.
But honestly - I think it's got to be taken case by case and decided between the parents and their doctor.
Naheeh said:Yup. They were both married and both have talked with their husbands about every ramification of everything involved in this. It's just that they couldn't get past it ever. They both have other kids, are on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medicine and just can't function. One is in and out of the hospital and the other just stays in her house all the time.

The fanatics that support PBA this would be a major victory if its allowed. It would not be the end. I firmly believe that they would next push for what one might call he Herodian standard for abortion .Any child under 2 years.
Caine said:Im confused... your post makes no sense.
Nobody has voted for Yes.
They have voted Yes, ONLY IF THE MOTHER'S LIFE IS ENDANGERED!!!!
Which, I totally agree with.
I can't understand how someone could believe that a woman should sacrifice her life just for the sake of not aborting a baby. In most cases, this would cause the baby to die too. Making her Sacrifice without a purpose, and even if the baby should manage to live, it would leave the child without a mother.
I can't understand how fanatics that say things like "No, never" could possibly think that women should sacrifice themselves for no purpose.
Columbusite said:3rd option. The mother had plenty of time to choose whether or not she is going to have a child. At this point the brain has well since been totally formed as is the body. Unless there is a serious problem with the mother or child him/herself there is no reason for an abortion to take place at this time.
Navy Pride said:I can tell you who is for PBA..Your democratic friends in the Senate.....
Caine said:Hey look Navy dude...... Another Liberal who agrees with me. Imagine that.
In fact, why is everyone talking about people who completely Support PBA?
I haven't seen one person vote yes on this poll.
So, you can all stop your whining.
