I placed this thread in CT because the theory that Hitler escaped Germany after WWII goes against conventional history.
In recent years a fair amount of research has been done trying to prove or disprove the official story of Hitlers alleged suicide and discovery by Soviet troops. The Obama administration declassified several documents that pertained to the US's intelligence reports after the war that strongly suggests that the US government were in fact looking for Hitler after the war. The US has many reports during the late 40s and early 50s that place Hitler in Argentina and neighboring countries.
A few books and TV documentaries have put a lot of research into this declassified intel and paint a very feasible possibility that Hitler could and probably did in fact escape just prior to Germany's surrender in 1945. In the past decade nearly all "evidence" of Hitlers demise in 1945 has been dis-proven and while this does not prove that he did in fact escape it makes the official history very questionable. Stalin himself told Churchill and Eisenhower that he believed Hitler had escaped which was contrary to public statements. As one such document on the subject describes it "We seem to have more evidence that he lived and escaped Germany then we have that he died in Germany".
So what are your thought?
