After the RNC convention, the season officially begins. So it’s not time to take polls seriously yet. Biden got his bump, and Trump will get his. Then the two campaigns will begin selling their version of America.
Elections are about two things:
Who gets to control your tax money.
Who gets to send your kids to which war.
The rest is all touchy feely pie in the sky.
IMO if Trump wins (unless he gets the House), it’s four more years of fighting all things Trump.
If Biden wins, it’s recession and businesses holding off until the regulatory environment becomes clear. Unemployment is a wild card. Even the open border crowd / Amnesty crowd can’t be so tone deaf with Covid related unemployment so high as to follow through on that promise. It’s all about the economy and China. The rest is all white noise.
I would be surprised if Trump gets a bump from the convention.

For the most part there’s been a consensus that this cycle’s DNC has been a complete snoozefest. The speeches ain’t great, and the ads spliced in-between feel eerily similar to drug commercials (except the Dems don’t mention the side effects of their policies).

I'm not quite sure what point was being made there, but the purpose of a convention is to revive or energize a candidate's base. Voters don't often watch a convention and change their mind.
There's nothing wrong with nationalism. It seems that many people have no idea what that concept actually means.
