DNC was a bust

another frantic Trump foot soldier tying his best to downplay the home run.



i can understand their frustration though. Rush/Sean/Donald convinced them that Joe was senile. hell, what can a decent con man NOT convince Trump supporters of (if given the time).

Further: If I have to choose between a cult that will only allow one voice vs an actual big tent that fights and agrees and argues, I”ll take the latter.

Especially when the cult in question is dedicated to a washed up reality TV gameshow host with the sex worker wife and barely functional children.

Funniest part of all this is anyone who paid attention to the Dem primaries knew this was how it was going to play out. Joe wasn’t my first choice, but every time someone came at him with the dementia tag, he destroyed them. Not by being super awesome or anything, just by simply *not* being the drooling outpatient they tried to paint him as.

No idea what the political advantage is of downplaying your opponent this much. It’s the exact opposite of any successful strategy but that’s what it looks like when you have a fussy queen like Trump at the head of your shindig.

We don’t give a care about traditional party politics. This is the entire point lol.

We want a leader who isn’t at the mercy of their political party’s bureaucracy.

Giving Trump the responsibility to determine his own platform means there will be no platform. Donald Stable Genius Trump has never, ever, planned a damn thing. Nothing. He is incapable. There will be no GOP platform other than the 2016 platform which has largely been unfulfilled.

The RNC will be a chaotic mess that will star Donald Trump and President Sharpie will speak as often and as long as he likes. Then there will be spellbinding fear speeches from people who are afraid of POC, people who are afraid of persecution because they discovered a picture of Jesus on a piece of toast and people who are afraid of communism but defend Trump's relationship with Putin. There will be a token black guy. There will be promises of new, new, new virus cures and vaccinations, that haven't been studied or proven effective. There will be a religious moment about God, mom and apple pie.

Also, viewers will be thrilled by the brilliance of Ivanka, Eric, Donald, Jr. and Tiffany (who no one ever hears from). Yes, one way to become re-elected is to trot out the entire incompetent family that even Trumpublicans are sick of seeing. Nepotism is a big plus for Trump. :roll:

Yeah, Trump has already said he's going to speak each day of the convention.

But that's all Trump voters want to see anyway. Regular politics bore them, in many cases because they don't understand it, but they can listen to the Orange Jesus all day.

So the questions weren't about who one will vote for.
 
Trump is trailing Biden significantly in the polls. In fact no incumbent president has trailed by as much as Trump heading into the conventions since 1968.

Trump is not interested in either one. Even though he will pimp both like a Canal Street hooker, Trump has never read the bible or the Constitution and does not understand either one.

It has poor technique. It is an extremely volatile poll, with results that can change by 5 points from one poll to the next. But, it's a nice comfort drug for Republicans. None of them will be posting when Rassmussen falls to 43% the next time it does.

After the RNC convention, the season officially begins. So it’s not time to take polls seriously yet. Biden got his bump, and Trump will get his. Then the two campaigns will begin selling their version of America.

Elections are about two things:
Who gets to control your tax money.
Who gets to send your kids to which war.
The rest is all touchy feely pie in the sky.

IMO if Trump wins (unless he gets the House), it’s four more years of fighting all things Trump.

If Biden wins, it’s recession and businesses holding off until the regulatory environment becomes clear. Unemployment is a wild card. Even the open border crowd / Amnesty crowd can’t be so tone deaf with Covid related unemployment so high as to follow through on that promise. It’s all about the economy and China. The rest is all white noise.

Well, the nice thing about 538 is they allow you adjust what you see based on the grade of the poll. What would be super cool is if sliding the bar also instantly affected the average, but you can't have everything. Still, when you slide from all polls to just those rated B and above, what you get looks really, really different.
