Democrats don't understand what it means to be educated

The Liberal's world seems to be collapsing around itself. President Trump has broken them. It couldn't happen to a nicer group of people. (but... but... but... Trump is a Nazi, convicted felon, racist and rapist. And he steals children's allowances! ) :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Sonny Hostin may have unveiled the real reason why the Democrats lost the election, but she had it all wrong. She recently said on "The View," that "What we did not have is white women, who voted about 52% for Donald Trump – uneducated white women is my understanding."

One of the realities of why the Democrats lost this election in the landslide is thinking they have a monopoly on defining what being "educated" means in America today and here’s the reality of what this word means in America today. Let’s examine this.

Another hateful MAGA thread. That is what MAGA is; hate.

Yes it's interesting that the nearly trillion dollars spent on K-12 public education in America that the left thinks isn't getting enough money is, according to the same left, inadequate to produce an "educated" graduate.
Trillion dollars? You got a cite on that?

WTF are you talking about? I just said it seems odd the left's beloved trillion-dollar public education program according to them is some sort of underfunded bare minimum that doesn't produce anything notable.

Calm down. You were implying the $$'s being wasted. I'm not surprised at your lack of understanding at the wording, lol.

So I asked a question. If it's too much for ya to consider, relax, you dont have to. 🌈 🐶 Here, have a puppy and a rainbow.

I think that we need to increase the minimum expectations to an associate or technical program and need to fund that. It’s a knowledge based global economy - and a high skills one.
Even for menial jobs? How about garbage pickup? Bus driving? Fedex driver, etc. Many of them make a decent wage. How about carpenters? Roofers? Earth movers?
Plumbers and auto mechanics require post-high school education unless they attend a technical program during high school instead of a tradition general education path. Yes.
Ever heard of journeymen programs
There are very few “seamstress” positions in existence outside of design - and those do tend to require a college degree.
Perhaps I should tell that to the ladies at the alterations shop where I have my suits and trousers altered.

Just shows you, there are a lot of people who went to university and got poisoned.
. If you think communist ideas are great, then yes, you voted for Harris.
. If you shunned the communist ideas, you had one choice. Trump. People who didn't particularly like Trump as a person voted for him. Many Democrats did. Many prominent Ds switched parties.
. So, it seems many "educated" Ds ignored all the failures of their party's last 4-years, believed more of it and more extreme versions of it would make things better. That starts one thinking that education and intelligence don't correlate so well. Do they now?

Totally disagree.

Really, the main thing people get out of a college education is the ability to learn and to think critically. How to dig for facts, how to discern between facts and BS. Something a large swath of Trump voters lack.

Bizarre false call about Harris and communism. Harris has said nothing about adopting communist policies. Any of that talk going around is generated by right wing bloviators as an attempt to confuse people. It seems to have been at least partially effective.

The nonsense about "Democrats who voted for Trump" is a straw man attempt to displace the remarkable reports of the unprecedented high number of prominent Republicans who voted for Kamala Harris, the Democrat.

This effort to try to get Democrats at "admit failures" is laughable. Democrats have done a good job of leadership in the past 4 years. There are no "failures" to admit. The country is in good hands for the time being, safe and prosperous. Any perception otherwise is propaganda generated by right wing bloviators. The economy is doing fine. Wages are up. Unemployment is down. The deficit is up a bit but is projected to come down if current policy is maintained. The deficit could be brought down if we tax the rich more but Republicans defend the filthy rich without hesitation. Big money has Republicans in their hip pocket. How long until the next tax cut for the rich? Jan 21st?

Democrat's main problem is people who say: "Hold my beer" before they go vote.

The last thing the government needs is a wrecking ball. But foolish American voters just voted for exactly that when they elected a felon.

But republicans don't get degrees, much less advanced degrees, because they are uneducated. Democrats need to believe this to support their intellectual superiority.

I'm cracking up at just how far you are going out of your way to demonstrate you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, especially concerning me. But, you are college educated so you know everything about me, based on a few posts on an anonymous political forum, right? What many independents and republican college educated people have learned is that the democrats who think they are so intellectually superior because they went to college is the biggest absurdity going on at the moment. You are all just embarrassing yourselves.
MAGA and democrats are stupid since they always buy into hating fellow Americans through propaganda tailored for them by our enemies.

I paid taxes in one district when my daughter never attended. Its not just the parents with kids in school who have a voice in this matter. Taxes for for public schools. If you want to send your kid anywhere else then write an additional check to that school.
Not up to you. Fortunately many states do emply a voucher system. My parents would have benefited from such a system when I and my siblings were kids. The public school was was not safe and my father worked three jobs to afford to put us in private school.
The GOP oppose public schools because they are well aware that educated people dont vote republican,
Just a silly stereotype floating around in your head. The reality is that the GOP does support public schools, they just want them to run efficiently and one way to accomplish that is to make them compete with private schools through a voucher program.

Bus drivers require additional education and certification.

Carpenters, seamstresses, any small business greatly benefits with business classes (see: community colleges). Many fail because they dont have that background. If they have the greater skill and business acumen, they create businesses that hire others...create jobs, grow economy.

See the benefits? We're not discussing "mandated or not possible to succeed", we're discussing the clearer paths to success (and cost effectiveness of further ed).

So hopefully this has been educational for you and you understood that I wasn't the one implying anything like that.

No, you responded in an unfortunately predictable manner. But, better luck next time!

The GOP oppose public schools because they are well aware that educated people dont vote republican, so they are doing their best to weaken public education in favor of religious mythology or conservative propaganda in private schools, and use taxpayer money for public schools to fund it.
Some of the DNC voters are so educated, they can't figure out what bathroom to use.

That should be up to the parents who pay those school taxes.
And everyone else who doesn’t have kids in schools but pays taxes?

What about them?

In very rare circumstances does what an individual taxpayer contribute cover the cost of educating a single student.

🤷‍♀️

A plumber I used before retirement never took a day or college or vocational school. He earns over $100,000. per year. I am not putting down vocational schools. I am just making it clear that not everyone needs to take advantage of them for a succesful career.

Because it isn’t a very important topic.

🤷‍♀️

It’s a petty grievance, at best. Not a major issue.

I’m more concerned, personally, with the number of people that don’t properly wash their hands after using the restroom than what genitals someone has when they choose which restroom to use.

She is a smart lady. Love me some Candace.
She is trying to check into Commyla's lineage and has some interesting stuff. Turns out Commyla lied about it. Go figure, eh? In any event Commyla lost so it is not important now. Of all people, Newsom is reinventing himself in California because he will be termed out soon. All of a sudden now, he is pulling a Commyla and getting a Max Factor makeover which includes him reversing everything he once championed but his "values" haven't changed and is thinking of becoming black like her.

That was then, this is now.

And $100K isn’t exactly a “high” income in 2024. In fact, it’s very much working class and would require at least 2 working parents in most families in many areas 🤷‍♀️

So should we give people without kids or those who send their kids to private schools a break from some of their property taxes?

Not so petty to those who are raped in bathrooms by those claiming to be a woman, pr to those who have to be perved over in the gym restrooms by females with penises.
