Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla is forcefully removed from Noem’s news conference and handcuffed

Former federal prosecutor:

He didn't identify himself until 7 seconds into the encounter.

Prior to identifying himself he moved to a position near the front of the room and only approximately 12-15 feet from where Sec. Noem was giving her prepared remarks.

She had been speaking for about 6 minutes and 10 seconds when he began to shout over her voice -- that is when security moved in his direction.

Security began to push him back. After about 3 seconds he began to resist. Security was able to turn him so that he was facing away from Sec. Noem as they pushed him towards the rear.

He then turned to face her and stepped into the Security in an effort to get between them and move back in her direction.

One officer then repositioned himself to get into Padilla's path towards Noem. At that point a second security officer joined and they aggressively pushed him backwards.

He was then shouting over everyone else saying "I have questions for the Secretary."

At that point the security no longer had patience with his refusal to comply and his effort to push past them when they blocked his path, and he was aggressively removed through the doors along the wall.

Nothing about the story the Democrats and press are retailing is accurate.

Tell me you didn't understand what I said without telling me you didn't understand.
I have been reading your posts. I understood the point you were making starting with your early posts.
Your posts were easily comprehensible.

Someday the left will get it
Wannabe strongmen, dictators, fascists and dictators are never defeated by weakness.

Their aggression/violence has to be met with strength. Much, much greater strength.

That its normal for people to be strong armed at a presser when they ask a question particularly a Senator

Okay, now go ahead and quote the post where I made that claim.

We both know you won't, of course, because I never made that claim at all. So typical...

Still waiting for you to post the quote where I said, "It's normal for people to be strong armed at a presser when they ask a question."

It's almost as if you made a bullshit strawman post and couldn't back it up.... :ROFLMAO:

Someone else pointed it out to you. Im not interested in your trying to troll and gaslight. You know exactly what you said and so do I. So stop pretending

How did he get to the front of the room by the podium then? You realize that we can see, right?
"Barging" is a value judgement on how he got there. What frames of that video show him "barging"? It looks like zero to me.
Wrong. He does not say who he is until after he begins physically resisting.
You said he "doesn't ID himself until they have him detained and out of the room". Which you can see is not what happened by the video you just posted. So if you want to change your view of the event I'm happy to hear that, but that doesn't make me "Wrong"

Someone else pointed it out to you.

Incorrect, as usual. Nobody else quoted me saying that.

Where did I say that it's normal for people to be strong armed at a presser when they ask a question? You made the accusation, so share the quote where I said that, and stop dodging.

Im not interested in your trying to troll and gaslight.

It's not trolling or gaslighting to require you to provide evidence for claims you made about me. It is, however, trolling and gaslighting to falsely attribute things to other people.

You know exactly what you said and so do I.

Yes, that's correct. We both know that I said it's normal for people to be strong armed when go into places they don't have clearance to be in secure facilities.

Unfortunately for you, you tried to post a bullshit strawman and got caught. As usual, it didn't work. Perhaps it'll be better for you to make honest posts from this point forward. 👌🏾

So now the precedent is set? Any government official may interrupt a press briefing held by a government official they oppose. Or, is that privilege extended only to U.S. senators?

It all gets more outrageous than the post preceding it. What a thread. 🍿 🫠

Still going strong defending this thuggish behavior by government, eh?

Were you looking in the mirror when you typed the above? It's not my side of the fence this is rebelling against a duly elected federal administration who is fulfilling their promises to the electorate.

You really should take time to think these things through.

Accurate. One side is attacking federal officers. The other side escorted an attention whore Senator causing an attention whore scene out of the room.

It’s quite evident that none of them own a mirror.

He and Noem know one another.

It's still thuggish as hell.

Someone was pointing out that Biden and Obama deported far more people without siccing masked ICE and the National Guard on people, sending people to life sentences in foreign gulags, arresting legislators, searching legislators offices and handcuffing senators.

And all while he is talking about letting other undocumented immugrants off the hook.

The policy is thuggish and the leader is capricious. Its classic authoritarian behavior.

She won’t truly respond. ;)

Nope, she never does. The irony of making completely dishonest posts about someone else and then having the audacity to call others "trolls" is really something! :ROFLMAO:

Apparently, Senator Padilla isn't the only person desperately seeking attention...

“Disturbing the peace” also sounds like speech. So does “obstruction” by interrupting a speaker at a public meeting like a press conference. Neither is legal.
Neither of the actions you purport have any basis in law with regards to Padilla’s words/actions.

You only succeed in advertising your bias and ignorance.

Great post. And very accurate.

Yeah, um, okay… 😆

The clip you posted doesn’t, in any way, support your ridiculous claim that Padilla violated “Disturbing the peace” and/or “obstruction” laws.

In fact, Padilla was released with no charges.

The only thing he was guilty of was trying to ask a question of a government official giving a press briefing where other questions were being asked/answered.

True. Padilla was not guilty of “Disturbing the peace” and/or “obstruction” laws. But answer this.

Who else asked questions and received an answer before Padilla tried to interrupt Noem with his question? She spoke a little more than four minutes when up he popped to challenge her. As the Secret Service/FBI pushed him out of the room, what other than his name and rank was he shouting? A fragment of the statement he didn't have the opportunity to make?
