Debate Me: I’m Starting To Think What FB and Twitter Is Doing Is Wrong :(

Yes, the Twitter cesspool and FakeBook are private companies and can do what they want, but they've elevated themselves to the digital town square, and as such, they at least need to apply their 'rules' and 'policies' (which seem to be made up for each occasion as they go along) consistently and politically blindfolded, and they have not. All that's requested is politically blind consistency to stated policies. It that too much to ask of them?

Breitbart posters are calling for the execution of Pence and several top Democrats and these posts are being allowed to stand.

They are stupid for posting this. Pence's roll in the certification of EC votes / electors is only cerimonial.
The public education system has failed us in civics. But who controls the public education system?

Good point. Whoever created an educational system that led to so many Trump supporters needs to be catapulted into the Pacific.

Reform should focus on building critical thinking skills. Far too many of these hillbillies are far too prone to propaganda, as well as to dismissing fact, evidence, and reality.

They did get an extra year. Only wrestlers are not wearing masks.

I’m watching a replay of MIN/NEB. There is a limited audience in Lincoln, NEB.

We are supposed to have HS wrestling this summer. We’ll see. COVID isn’t done with us by a long shot, unfortunately.

Agreed. That would also require the removal of the present indoctrination by radical teachers and profs to elevate in importance those much needed critical thinking skills, don't you think?

The failure is to understand that Pence's role in the certification of EC votes and EC electors is cerimonial, civics, this appear to be lacking in education these days having been supplanted by indoctrination.

I'm in favor of emphasizing civics and critical thinking skills over indoctrination. I'm pretty sure you'd agree, but maybe not.

They dont seem to care. Nobody cares about the issue, only the power. Its a raw unadulterated power grab by the "winners".

If you are on the losing side, I might suggest hunkering down and prepare to be bent over and screwed if you cant disappear. I am prepping for the worst. Winding stuff up and shutting stuff down so as to present minimal profile.

Until my conservative and libertarian friends can get their heads out of their rears and see properly organizing and presenting a unitized front is the only way to gain back the levers of power I am just sitting back and watching with the occasional comment. Personally I think we need to speak with our silence, IE leave the forums and and twitters and Facebook, the schools, pretty much everything, if you live in a liberal Mecca, leave to a more favorable place. Just lurk until the pendulum swings back around.

The authoritarians will overreach for power, they always do. We need to prepare for that opportunity, should we wish to take advantage.

I just dont know if there are enough people on the side of freedom anymore. The election has convinced me that yes we have a lot of freedom loving people. It has also convinced me we do not have enough. That is a problem.

He's spent the last 5+ years deliberately dividing and inflaming the nation. Anyone who expects Trump to even try to encourage unity and reconciliation is not paying attention.

Every time a voice gets shut down that used to make them fart and giggle and want to tickle each other like girl scouts and mash s'mores into each other's cakeholes, they flap their arms and scream First Amendment as if they know what the **** they're talking about, but they never do, and they'll never learn it from me, because I love seeing that kind of squealing from grown conservative men, because it reminds me of who they really are: ignorant victims of imaginary crimes.

There is a POTUS account on Twitter, it's just that Trump has barely used it. Maybe he doesn't know the login, and his staff wisely hid it from him.
