Debate Me: I’m Starting To Think What FB and Twitter Is Doing Is Wrong :(

Those tweets are still being shown on RT. They have trump’s back, as they interview roger stone.
Well of course RT still has them. :ROFLMAO:

It's more like Twitter removes anything posted on @Potus than the account being actually banned. Seems they are waiting for someone else to become POTUS (whether Biden, or if Pence becomes POTUS for a few days if Trump is removed) before allowing anyone to post on it.

No, really. Melt down or no, he is the sitting potus. Either he’s been 25th’d or he has not. Shold those platforms be keeping the sitting potus from speaking to the public, pro or con?

I hate him, but I don’t think this is right. Please, tell me I’m wrong? Someone smarter than me? Please? :(

personally I think in the case of Trump, drumming up a crowd to try and commit a coup justifies this.

WHILE it seems a large segment of the violence was being orchestrated over chat boards where was the FBI?

The white house so it was said has a police force 2000 strong where were they?

No I do not support any leadership propagating a violent endeavor as many seem to in the halls of congress and I have always questioned how do private military corporations find their way on our tax dollar payroll.

It is hard for me to digest that BIG BROTHER missed this such as they did 9/11.

The FBI is requesting your assistance:

That’s a bad example. If there’s a fire, we’d expect someone yelling fire. This is why Holmes, in Schenk v U.S., the case which inspired the phrase, said free speech doesn’t protect “falsely” yelling fire in a crowded theater.
I respectful disagree.

They should start with the disinformation rank censorship that they profligate, frankly. Glass houses and all, you know?
'kidnap, bomb and murder elected representatives' is in fact hyperbolic. Disrupt the proceedings wouldn't be.

Yes, the Twitter cesspool and FakeBook are private companies and can do what they want, but they've elevated themselves to the digital town square, and as such, they at least need to apply their 'rules' and 'policies' (which seem to be made up for each occasion as they go along) consistently and politically blindfolded, and they have not. All that's requested is politically blind consistency to stated policies. It that too much to ask of them?

When you tell a group of violent thugs to stand by, that's a little concerning. A good comparison would be if Biden said "I want Antifa to protest peacefully for the time being." Trump has been saying things like that for years. "Obama was born in Kenya" lives on to this day. "I don't like you Sarah Sanders" is something I think everybody including Sarah Sanders forgot about. You're aware that the majority of Republicans in congress are saying Trump went too far I assume. And they're on the inside, so they have a really good understanding of what Trump's approach was - inciting violence. Obviously. It's just really obvious. Use common sense. So it's basically a small group of Trump shills who are pretending that he didn't intend to incite violence.

And it's really, really bad optics for "fakebook" (I don't get that because who the hell gets news through facebook?) and Twitter to be hosting and potentially liable for calls to rip the country apart. I don't use Twitter so I can't call them out on anything, but if there was a call for violence or a fascist coup by a Democratic official share it. It would be good to compare.

Also, just a friendly reminder when I'm discussing these things - I didn't vote for Trump or Biden. Neither should be President.

Social media is a very recent development for presidents... He is no more entitled to use their platforms than anyone else.. Regarless, twitter and FB are for old people, TikTok and Instagram are the new hot social media platforms...

It's a bit strange when POTUS get censored and banned on social media, don't you think?

Media and big tech is now a competing power with government, and they decide what is true or false according to their agenda. They decide which party is popular or not and which Senator wins or not, or even president. They control most information that most people get.

We have a strange president, don't you think?

He should have been banned years ago, don't you think?

We treated him with kid gloves long enough, allowing our law and order president to violent Twitter's terms of service for years, right?

A president who want to fix your country and make it great is strange?

Sure, such a message must universally be condemned by liberals who want to exact opposite.

Presidents managed just fine without Twitter before. Trump is a jerk....ban him

What are you even talking about? He's largely responsible for the deaths of more than 300,000 people.

He encouraged voter fraud in Georgia, and to follow it up, he spearheaded a conspiracy to overthrow the government in our nation's capitol.

He's undoubtedly the worst president we've ever had.

Thanks for stopping by and giving your two cents though.

I’ll meet you halfway.

I’ll agree with your point in the broader sense that I have concerns about the power of certain social media sites and apps have over the flow of information. Americans have truly become exponentially dumber and angrier in the last couple decades since the nutjobs and conspiracy theorists now have free reign to spread their message and hate.

While I don’t know what the right answer is though to that broader issue, you won’t find me crying into my Cheerios about Twitter’s decision. My advice to all Twitter users would be - if you don’t want to be banned, follow their terms of service. If they warn you, especially repeatedly, modify your behavior accordingly. Seems pretty simple to me.

Nope! His words have weight with ... his followers that, as we saw Wednesday, live in an alt-universe. ONE tweet from the orange tweeter and we could have riots in EVERY Capitol City in America, with overwhelming force, before Law Enforcement could respond.

It is strange to have a president so unhinged that he is unable to comply with simple TOS rules.

Well, I take it you know the whole terms of service of services you use online? It's not like it's 400 pages of BS that changes like others change their underwear.

Most people know their terms of service because it is boilerplate. It is almost the same for everything you sign up for. Did you really not know that?

Just make a list of all the things you are a victim of: words on paper, flies in the air, coldness coming through the windows. Make that list. Call it "A Chronicle of My Manhood."

In general I know not to be an asshole and not to solicit violence. I’ve never been banned anywhere other than, ironically, one of the “free speech” conservative sites. 😄

My posts havent changed a bit, but thanks for pretending to know. Nor was there any emotion in it. You are projecting

So angry.

Yes, I know general terms of services for most services these days:
- Don't say the truth
- Copy and spew MSM lies
- Try to manipulate peoples opinions to conform with the shadow government totalitarian regime
- 2016 clause, hate Donald Trump and say it out loud
- Call everyone who disagrees a racist, nazi, fascist, xoPhobe
- Support any coverup operation
- Worship the devil

I think what I would prefer is put through the tweets with no means to share and heavy with warnings.

I think I’d rather know if the terrorist lunatic is threatening me or not, you know? And if so, it speeds up the GOP to remove.

He's cooked anyways AA.

Let him sit in the Oval Office for the next 10-11 days and stare at the shamble his legacy is going to be.

But if he truly wants to attack us of whatever, shouldn’t we know? In a roundabout way isn’t this obscuring our own choice 4 years ago now that he’s totally gone off the rails? This is our sitting potus. *We* deserve to have to live with this too to anyone extent. It would force us to make choices.

If he’s so bad I’m still unclear why he’s potus. Make sense?
