David Hogg's New Democrat Party (1 Viewer)

As opposed to anyone who doesn't kiss the malignant narcissist scumbag piece of shit liar grifter rapist seditionist felon serial adulterer and tax cheats ass getting primaried.

B..b..but Trump!

Finally Democrats are getting some young people involved.

Hopefully he gets the party to move in a younger, far more progressive direction.
Younger would be good. More progressive will make you a permanent minority party.

Democratic National Committee vice chair David Hogg's plan to spend $20 million to primary older Democratic incumbents in Congress has sparked intense anger from some lawmakers.
Why it matters: House Democrats told Axios that, while Hogg is not targeting battleground-district members, they believe he will divert attention and resources away from their races and the fight to retake the House.

Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg appears to be breaking from the party’s talking points, condemning “democracy” and blaming it for things like school shootings and climate change.

Comment:
Hogg thinks that the Democrat Party is not far enough left.....geezus
His plan is to replace incumbent Dems.
He is condemning "democracy" because he wants autocratic control.

🤣🤣🤣 The Democratic party is a right wing party in any other context.

As a left winger myself, Hogg isn't particularly left wing either.

"autocratic control" 🤣🤣 no most people are just sick of establishment neoliberals with zero spine, beholden only to corporate donors running the country, and for someone to actually oppose fascism

Younger would be good. More progressive will make you a permanent minority party.

Other than the gun grabbing shit, progressives like Bernie and AOC would ****ing destroy Trump.

The problem with the Democratic Party isn't that it's too far left, it's that it isn't left at all.

Meanwhile the Libertarian party is in shambles because it shed all pretense of being libertarian at all, to the point where it's own party chair has a bigger hard-on for Trump than Chase Oliver.

People are ready for populist politics. They're just misled to believe that populism means hating other working class people who look or **** different from you as opposed to hating (properly) the capitalist class.

The DNC really hurt itself by bringing Hogg onboard.
The DNC hurt itself long before Hogg came along.

If the Democratic Party keeps going down the Republican Lite route trying to appeal to conservatives like Liz Cheney, then they will never be as strong as they should be.

The mainstream body of the party doesn’t even support a basic tenet of socialism/social democracy: universal healthcare.

Doesn’t support your claim.

I fully support David Hogg’s efforts to carry out a Maoist-style Cultural Revolution inside the Democrat Party. I want him to go Hogg wild on this one.

If the DNC wants to get back to winning they should concentrate on the moderate faction of their Party.

Just my opinion.

They did that in 2016, 2020, and 2024....Kamala campaigned with Liz Cheney, for crying out loud. It didn't work.

The point that @Questerr made is right on the money -- the Democratic Party is not liberal at all. If they were, then Biden and Harris would have been campaigning for Medicare For All every day, but they didn't even mention it once during the entire campaign.

It's not smart strategy to completely ignore something on the campaign trail that 60% of Americans support, like Medicare For All. Yes, the Democratic Party absolutely sucks at political strategy and politics in general.

Doesn’t support your claim.

Except it does when your own source confirms on 12% of the party support center-left or left positions. 88% of the party is center-right.

Not even close to correct.

Look again.

The gun grabbing is enough to turn me off. They've doubled down with Hogg.

Hogg Boy is an idiot. So there's that.

He is condemning "democracy"
Because he supports a candidate different than you think he is required to support? LOL!

You're the one who needs to reflect on how democracy works. News flash: He's allowed to support who he wants. That's not a crime.

B..b..but Trump!
What about the malignant narcissist scumbag piece of shit liar grifter rapist seditionist felon serial adulterer and tax cheat? Does his ass not have to be kissed thoroughly or he threatens to primary the offender after labeling the person a RHINO?

They learned nothing from November. Which makes me wonder what blunders they will make for 2028.
What lesson should the Democrats have learned....other than campaigning with conservatives like Liz Cheney doesn't work too well?

Anyone who suggests that the Democratic Party's platform was too "liberal" during the 2024 campaign simply doesn't know what the word liberal or progressive means.

You know why Harris asked/accepted support from Cheney, and it had zero to do with Cheney’s political views.

Because Medicare for all is not popular with the majority of Americans.

Not so.

While the majority of Americans support the idea of guaranteed healthcare, they do not support a government run program.

At least since ‘16.

oh, of course, he can support whoever he wants
but he is still way out of touch with mainstream americans
he is even more out of touch than the corrupt democrat establishment

Since Traitor Trump retook office, it doesn’t appear that the Dems have changed their losing strategies.

We could quibble about where support for government run health care actually stands among Americans. I've seen stats where it's well over 50%. And the fact that almost 20% of Republicans support it, according to your chart, means it's a potentially winning strategy for Democrats....but they don't even give it a try.

My main point is that if the Democratic Party was liberal at all, then Democratic presidential candidates like Biden and Harris would be talking about government run health care on the campaign trail at least once in awhile....but they don't.

I fully endorse Hogg and his efforts to modernize the Democrat party. He has my blessings.
