Chicago Bears= NFC North champs !

LMAO, although I still have his Jersey when he played for the Jets.

Had Favre not torn his bicep the Jets would have won the Super bowl that year. Before he was injured they beat all the top teams and Favre even threw 6 TD passes against one of the Super Bowl teams.

Jets owner Woody Johnson said in early 2010 that Brett Favre was the player most responsible for turning the New York Jets from a losing team into a winner.

“Favre’s presence completely transformed the locker room. His winning attitude made the whole team believe we could beat anybody,” Johnson said.

Got a link for that quote from Johnson, I dont remember that interview.

C'mon guys. My last post was "Funny right thar!" Gimme some love!

Hey Cap'n... what's shakin'?

Oscar's right about the final stop for washed up QB's and KC getting them. Unfortunately.

"He did a lot of good things for us," Jets GM Tannenbaum said. "The thing I'll remember most is his passion, especially at practice. I think that rubbed off on the other players."

Real football fans knew what Favre did for the Jets. We could see it the first half of the season. Just think a guy that knew nothing about the Jets offense was beating the best teams in the league. The mistake the Jets made was not pulling him when he tore his bicep. Had they resigned him, and, got him his surgery they would have won the superbowl the next year. The Jets could have given Favre the protection he thrived on. 2009 was Favres best year ever even with a mediocre offensive line..

Jet's fans are morons.

How many lawsuits from women would the Jets have then?

Who cares? You think Favre is the only player to send dirty texts to women? Favre is a horndog.
We are talking football here.

You do realize that Farve asked for a release on the belief that he was going to retire right?

After the Jets fans crucified him of course he wanted out of that ****hole. To get the release he had to claim he was going to retire, but I don't believe he intended to retire at that point. He just wanted out of New York. He was already talking to the Vikings weeks later.

Farve is a sleeze bag that retires to get out of contracts to go play for somebody else. Now he is retired again we will see if this time he really retires

What's wrong with playing for the team you want to play for? Especially at the end of your career? The Jets was his last choice and he didn't know he was going there until 2 days before he got there. When the Packers went with Rodgers they should have released Favre. They owed it to him.
He really is retired this time.

I bet a plug nickel he unretires and is picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs. They will sign him to a 5 year, $20 million contract and he will play in exactly 2 games before suffering a concussion and riding out the rest of his contract on the bench. Chief's management will promptly retire his #4 jersey and hang it on the wall along side the #19 jersey of Joe Montana.

Nope, He's done. He may get a job coaching high school football but that's it.

Packers went to Rodgers because Farve retired. Farve tried to come back at last minute and tell packers he was their QB. Did not work so farve wanted to go to Vikings but the Pack said no and allowed him to go to Jets. Farve did not want to be a jet.

Farve is a jerk who thinks he can do anything he wants but he found out he is just another player.

Farve just another player? Give me a break. Favre was the best teammate any player could have. He gave it 100% and played hurt. He didn't miss a start in almost 20 years. Yeah, he's just another player. One of the best QBs to play ever and the toughest by far..
Lots of people hate Favre but he is what he is.

He showed he was all about Brett when he tried to screw Rogers and the Packers. After all the Packers did for him he had no appreciation

If you think about it, the Packers have ended up in the Superbowl shortly after Favre left and the Jets have been to two AFC championship games since Favre left. It's almost like the secret to NFL success is to get rid of Brett Favre, so Minnesota should be pretty damned good next year.

Favre turns teams into winners. Did it for the Jets and the Vikes.
By the way. Minnesota is going to suck next year. Bank on it.

He didn't try to screw anyone. He just wanted to play again. That's all. You people read too many gossip columns.

You mean after he leaves? The Vikings sucked this year with Farve

Thats crap and you know it he wanted to go to the Vikings

Of course he did after the Packers didn't want him anymore. Where else would he want to go?

No that was his whole point of coming out of retirement after Rogers already was announced as Packer QB
