Remember your mom telling you that if you can't say anything good about someone then you shouldn't say anything? I challenge the left to list things they do actually like about Trump, even if it is just one. This thread is not for negativity in any way, either overtly or non-overtly . Everyone has their good points and their bad points in various quantities. If you can't say even one good thing about Trump then it just shows how partisan you really are. This is your chance to prove that you are not a partisan member of the resistance. Now remember, nothing in any way can be negative, such as, "I like the fact that Trump will help Democrats back to power in 2018". That's negative. This thread is a positive thread where I challenge the left to list what the like about Trump.

His hair piece. It reminds me of my youth, specifically a Three Stooges skit I recall seeing in 1974 or so.

My mother never said that. She always said, "If you can't think of anything nice to say, come sit by me."

Is that your way of saying that you can't think of even one thing good you can say about Trump?

So good. That's what I'm saying from now on.

He knows the language and the heart of a certain large segment of the American population.

I'm going to translate that into meaning that Trump was a super politician who tapped into all America (both Democrats and Republicans and even others) who were tired of dynasties, tired of the establishment, tired of the status quo, tired of political correctness, and tired of politicians. In other words, the left needs to open up their ears and listen to what Americans really want.

I like his support(however tenuous in practice) of family leave and infrastructure improvements.

He seems to be a tireless worker.

He is very good at self promotion.

He seems to not give up when things go bad.

I'm pretty sure that was negative. Care to try again?

Sure. His orange skin reminds me of these guys.

Thanks for being honest and sticking to the thread parameters. I agree with all and he certainly doesn't give up when things go bad.

Unless you can come up with something then you have admitted to being nothing but a 100% partisan anti-Trumpster. Remember what your momma told you? You should have just stayed out of the thread if you couldn't come up with even one thing positive to say.

I like when he turned around and said spontaneously to the crowd something like, “Can you believe it, I made president?”

Doesn’t make up for his race baiting, but the comment was pure New York. As one raised there, it tickled me.

Yes, you're probably right. But are you sure what they want is what is good for them?

Now wait just a minute.

Do you want people to be truthful, or do you want them to only say what you want to hear?

You can't twist what someone says into what you want it to say. Otherwise, all bets are off for the entire thread.

You wernt going to start it out by saying something nice about Hillary?

I'm quite curious: what on earth gave you THAT impression?

There are several things I like about Trump, though ultimately they do not outweigh the bad. But here are some:

1. His support for renegotiating NAFTA--it's bad for us, it's bad for Mexico. Is largely responsible for the undocumented coming across the border.

2. His support for an infrastructure building program. This is a no-brainer to me; the only people it's not a no-brainer to are the corporations that see better profits from similar deals overseas right now.

3. His gestures toward insisting American companies hire American workers or face the consequences. He doesn't get much traction because government is owned by corporations (and to be clear, I'm not entirely sure he's sincere, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here).

4. He is apparently willing to confront China. That's something we should have done 20 years ago. Every day that goes by, they get stronger, and their actions absolutely scream that they mean to challenge us some day.

Yes, you're probably right. But are you sure what they want is what is good for them?

So, you're saying that YOU know best? The same old partisan crap that BOTH sides do in thinking that they know what is best for everyone? The same old partisan crap that Republicans are fighting a war on women, a war on the poor, a war on minorities, a war on the elderly, and wanting to take everyone's social security, medicare, and health care away?

His response sounded negative. I asked for positive. I gave him a chance to clarify. I'm not expecting to hear what I want to hear but I want people to be honest and positive and post at least one positive quality of Trump, even if all it is is that he dresses well. I'm asking lefties to say something positive about Trump. I'm not expecting them to say they love the new tax plan or his immigration stance.

I can find nice things to say about everyone, even Hillary. I think she was sincere about helping the country and she seems to be a good mother and has given Chelsea a good life.

I'd add 'she stuck by her man' when it really counted, during the Monica Lewinsky days. It couldn't have been easy for her, those days.
However, that being said, not so sure I like how she attacked Bill's accusers, then, and especially now, when she claims to have supported women all along. ;roll:
