Correct except for "NOW". It's not "NOW". USA was , still is, and probably will remain imperialistic state forever.

The US hasn't annexed any foreign lands within the past 100 years.

Russia did so in 2014 and 2023.

Russia didn’t annex anything in 2014 . If you refer to Crimea , this is not not Annexation. The Crimean citizens have long dreamt about independence from Ukrainian Empire and they are free to define their fate as well as all other Ukranians . The same is true about 2022 events .

Crimea was an illegal annexation by Russia that has been rejected world wide.

And Ukraine is a nation. Not an empire.
 
All I can say is what a mess. 🙈 I knew Trump was a moron, but no one, especially someone who apparently fancies himself the “leader of the free world” while fawning over the planet’s senior despot even as he continuously insults his presumed democratic allies, is this dumb. Those golden showers stories from the presidential suite at the Moscow Ritz—could they possibly be true after all? Or something similar?

Yes Trump has guaranteed that the Ukraine war will continue and that it will become even bloodier. That is what he meant by his promise to end it in 24 hours. He meant that he would surrender America to the Russians and spout nothing but Kremlin propaganda about Ukraine. His post this morning could have been written by the Kremlin and is full of lies. You should be horrified as an American.

Actually it is Russia's offensive that is "crumbling" and any advances they make are at horrendous costs in Russian lives and machinery. All their attempts to kick Ukraine out of Kurst have failed miserably also while Ukraine continues to degrade Russian oil refineries, storage sites and weapon factories nightly with their own drones. Russia is on the ropes and all Trump's mules and all Trump's men couldn't put Russia together again...

There will be no free and fair election in Ukraine until Russia holds one in their country or they are out of Ukraine entirely. I don't see either of those things happening soon.

Russia is already out of "Ukraine". Because neither Crimea nor Donbass are part of Ukraine anyMore.
Do you Remember that Ukraine was once a part of Russia altogether ? THe West said they can be independent.

Ukraine wanted to be independent of Moscow. Now Crimea and Donbass want to be independent from Ukraine. THis is so simple. The universal principle of independence.
You should just understand and accept it .

Stalin invaded and conquered Ukraine in 1919 and he murdered millions of Ukrainians while force migrating Russians to take their place. Is that what you mean by Ukraine was once part of Russia? After the Ukrainians overwhelmingly voted for independence from Russia when the USSR failed Putin is now being Stalin again and invading them to commit genocide. Ukraine will never allow that again. You should just understand that and accept it. Ukraine will kill millions of Russians as revenge if they are desperate enough and I fully support them. Russia owes Ukraine millions of lives and they need to collect.
